    Legacy songs genre

    Hello,

    I would like to inquire as to what benefits there are server-side and client-side in having given the Legacy genre a separate engine in the options section of the R^3 Platform, as opposed to keeping it alongside the other genres.

      Apparently it keeps new players away from the game because they are stepped "bad" so they will play them and think the game is bad since most of them are lower level beginner stuff. But in my experience as a newer player i loved to play them, and it definitely didnt keep me away from the game...

      EDIT: I like the idea of unlocking them once you get vet status or something along those lines that beginners cant get. Or just remove them at this point since newer players going for ranks will be confused that a song is in the game but they cant find it.

          This is going to change back in the next update and it's just going to be another checkbox in option to make them hidden/visible in the main engine.

          Well, since this thread is about semantics, I may as well throw this here:



          Any suggestions for the tooltip while hovering the checkbox for what the text should say ?

                              If you only dislike most, it's not enough.

                              But yeah this is acceptable, assuming it's opt in and not opt out. Probably a tad less confusing than the alt engine drop down is, since it isn't literally an alt engine.
