Musical wise Lavender Town is hands down the bloody worst most depressing hateful piece of garbage I have ever heard.
Love Psalm from Silent Hill 4 (i think) is just straight up a downer and the lyrics/context of the lyrics are pretty depressing.
I never liked Mario 64's Underwater Theme. People say it's relaxing but I don't see how.
I heard an English cover of the Touhou remix Bad Apple and those lyrics are kind of sad.
Anything with Hank Williams Sr trying to be emotional makes me long for death.Comment

it doesn't sound depressing to me though
the melody does sound similar IMO but the atmosphere is a lot more depressing to me for the songs i posted

Whatever tone it hits makes me physically angry. Like ever got angry enough to hit a ****er over the hit with a baseball bat and you can like feel it seeping into your soul via your arms and chest?
Like, yeah. I'm not down with that. The song is devoid of joy and love and friendship and is filled with the vegetarian tacos that Hitler ate last Tuesday.
While I am at it some of the music in the original Phantasy Star does that shit too and it's the prime reason I never played more then 5 minutes of that game.
