We don't have that many users and even for veterans the number of sub-forums can be daunting, people would probably be more likely to post in multiple places if there were fewer places with more generalized categories, just a thought.

i don't know what's so bad about it, you have 4 categories of forum, one for ffr, one for gaming, one for social, and one for some general hobbies. And then it's broken down into specific things, i find it very easy to navigate the forums, it actually was a lot more cluttered a few years ago and cleaned up once already hahaComment

TGB is my homepage. Most of the forums see at max 1 viewing at a time, why I thought of that is because if you condense sparse topics you also funnel people browsing each sub forum up and thus make it easier for conversation and dialogue happen. Not to mention from a design/usability standpoint reducing clutter makes things more approachable and aesthetically pleasingComment

Like Stepmania and other music games can be combined at this point. The three creative forums (writing, audio production, graphic arts) can really be combined into Creative Corner as they serve generally similar personality types and subdivisions actually reduce exposure for things people make that they really want to be seen.
It's just little things like this. If someone put a few hours into cleaning up a little it would probably boost forum traffic in the long termComment

I can't recall the last time I commented on anything in the Life and Arts section of the website, except for shitposting during that entire darkshark fiasco that happened a ways back.
I kind of feel like some fat needs to be trimmed off & generalized further in the sense for subforums, but when I look at it from a point blank perspective, I don't feel like my initial thought is correct anymore, so I'm kind of at a loss for what to think of it.

tbh it got reorganized / slightly condensed even fairly recently.
If anything I'd expand a one or two in the ffr section, and change one thing or so about the batch note process but the forums as they are currently are pretty well condensed.
And that thing about the batch process would be: Give batches their own subforum, all batch note releases get their own thread instead of the cluster fuck that is the one current thread.
Otherwise, rest of it is fine tbh. It's simple enough as it is, if you still get it wrong, it should be a "I wasn't thinking" mistake rather than "I didn't know where that goes." It's pretty obvious.
