as has been mentioned before, stepmania is a very muscular game; the parallels to running or lifting basically draw themselves.
given how many people put substantial time into those two things, i wouldn't call playing files that are physically draining/toward the upper end of your ability or whatever masochistic
now grinding for aaas/quads on the other hand...

I play harder FFR files because, as far as FFR files go, most files people would call hard are tedious AAA/SDGs for me. I only have a small range of difficulty where the files are actually hard for me to SDG/FC, and I'm only D6.
I can't imagine how the players way better than me in D7 feel having literally like 3 files worth playing if they want a challenge. Not even masochistic, just like a file that would make them not fall asleep.Last edited by hi19hi19; 04-12-2015, 09:17 PM.
