I have just heard 20% of what I wanted (a bit above 50 albums total), a lot of hipster stuff, some good finds. Not a awful year, but I thought 2012 was waaaaay superior.

I've listened to maybe 10 full albums this year (off the top of my head), and not all of them were even released this year. I love looking at everyone else's lists though to see what's frequently occurring, which artists show up in different years, etc. The only one from moches' list I've listened to is Triptunes, and I've heard of about 3 other albums in the list (yikes). It was actually one of robertsona's lists that first had me listen to Janelle Monae (mm).

So out of the loop wo0o0o0o.

無力P: Eschatology (Thanks to Stian for posting his copy in the mail thread which got me to buy it.)
Hanatan: Primrose Flower Voice
Various: Fate / Kaleid Liner Prisma☆Illya Original Disc 1 / 2 (Girl Evolution! is one of the most bad-ass fight songs I've heard.)
ゆよゆっぺ: Story Of Hope (You knew ONE Yuyoyuppe album would make this.)
Trivium: Vengance Falls (While not their best work by miles, not a horrible album.)
Lunetia: Ecila (Alice) (old ass album, but I've rapidly loved it all year long.)

And now for a list of hate:

1. Blurred Lines. This song is a fuckin ear cancer. It's like 5 minutes long but it feels like eternity. Eradicate these people. (Note: The average song I listen to is anywhere from 5 - 12 or so. There's a lot of Prog Metal in my library. I consider 3 minute songs to be kinda torture.)
2. Wrecking Ball. Which you are. Not.
3. A hell load more.

ahahaha, I think everybody has this feeling! almost every list from a major publication this year has left me feeling out of the loop (fwiw robertsona and I only share 3 albums out of 62/50 albums respectively). it means that there's just that many great artists out there and they're more accessible than ever. it's a good thing.

basically no pressure yo, just keep looking for the stuff you like
