    Spiral Knights

    Yeah, it's a F2P MMO that's focus on beating the crap out of cute little enemies, whatcha going to do?

    I dunno, just wanted to make a thread for this because the game has content in which I think is very much catering to how people of this site likes... or maybe not, oho.

    I just played today after who knows how long. It's still as repetitive as I remembered it, but goodness do they keep updating a lot of stuff from the times I don't go on there.

      I used to play this /a lot/, especially for the wait of JP PSO2 apparently.

      All I could remember on how anal it was with it's energy system, you'd either have to be quite into the game or pour in some cash to get some real enjoyment, which makes me wonder what's the point in making it F2P in the first place.

          Yeah, not going to lie, I poured a few bucks here and there because I did like the game mechanics, so I was like... "alright, going to give the devs a little money for making a solid game."

                      I've played the game before quiute in-depth, but I find the grinding system that is required for more money to buy energy just so you can continue playing is quite unbearable at an early level. I believe you need to get at least level 4/10 items before you can start making enough income per level in the game to make the money you need to continue going lower into the dungeon, and make enough side profit to work with. I think I was on the tip of the iceberg when I left, mostly because I ran out of time to myself, and the game was getting extremely repetitive and boring. Also, I got to that point as well where upgrading weapons & armor costed more than 100 energy, so I had to find ways to beat the auctions for energy tanks which was absolutely terrible to go against.

                          I commented on this yesterday to Charu, but might as well say it again. I don't like how the micro transactions are so ingrained into the core gameplay. It feels really forced.

                                          I played this for about 2 months, got to end game (beat shadow lair) without spending money, then stopped playing it at all.
