The alarm clock blasts away as you trudge out of the sweet embrace of your warm sheets, barely able to fathom the surroundings around you. It seems apparent that, as you get ready to take on the day ahead, this repetition of remedial tasks is slowly driving you into a bleak and spiraling depression. That is until you finally pull out a chair, have your first cup of coffee, and take your mind off things with a little crossword puzzle.
Although it isn't just any old crossword puzzle this time around, it is one that is fairly different from those you've done before, because this time it is...
An FFR crossword puzzle!
That's right, now you (yes you) have the opportunity to fill in words for things you are quite familiar with, and for prizes! But not with some boring old piece of paper and a pen, because Velocity has been kind enough to turn it into an R^3 style flash game! Now before all of you go crazy, let me give you the scoop on how to participate in this event!
There are four categories (all with 25 words) and players will be divided into teams to try and solve as many categories as they can. The teams themselves will be created by all of you! If you are planning to participate, gather a few of your friends (up to five people) and post here that you are signing up as a team! The only condition as that you must have at least one newer player in your ranks who is going to participate, so that those who aren't exactly FFR masters can have a shot at getting something nice. By newer player, we mean someone who has been around for less than one year but longer than two months, and is at least mildly active around here (come on guys no alts, help a newer player out). We will be approving teams when you submit them, but as long as you follow that requirement, you should be good to go. People signing up for this event should have a way to communicate with each other, keep that in mind, so it isn't a last minute issue. When it begins, all of you should collaborate and use your wits to figure out what goes where, and post a screenshot of your completion screen to the thread. The first team to post their winning screenshot (only one of the team members has to post it) will receive the prize for the puzzle they solved! As for the rest of the slowpokes, their respective teams will receive a secondary or consolation prize based on how many other teams before them posted their results. If you are outnumbered by others, that is on you or your team. You can participate in this by yourself, but when you can have a few others to bounce ideas off of, saying no to that might leave you at a disadvantage.

Although various people may have easier times with different categories, all of them are around the same in terms of difficulty to an average FFR user. You should all be warned that (since we are evil) most of the crossword categories have one or two words that are intentionally difficult. You'll love them I'm sure, but with a little digging, they can certainly be found if you can't think of an answer.
Now I'm sure you are all wondering, just what are the prizes? Well, here is just what we are dishing out this time around!
PRIZES:
The prizes will be based on the puzzle difficulty, and depending on your place.
FFR Terms:
1st place: 40,000 credits
2nd place: 30,000 credits
3rd place: 20,000 credits
4th and 5th places: 10,000 credits
Song names:
1st place: 50,000 credits
2nd place: 40,000 credits
3rd place: 30,000 credits
4th and 5th places: 15,000 credits
FFR People
1st place: 65,000 credits
2nd place: 50,000 credits
3rd place: 40,000 credits
4th and 5th places: 20,000 credits
FFR Trivia
1st place: One support or event token and 40,000 credits
2nd place: One support or event token and 30,000 credits
3rd place: 50,000 credits
4th and 5th place: 40,000 credits
Completing any puzzles after 5th place has been reached will net your team 5,000 extra credits. If your team (or you if you are alone) cannot complete a puzzle, you can post the unfinished puzzle and I will give everyone in the party anywhere from 500 to 4,000 extra credits.
There won't be a defined participation prize considering even playing by yourself and only getting most of each puzzle could get you around 10-15k, so think of that as the participation prize.
