I'm glad it wasn't just me, all I see is a fun pack and wmp.
Are you calling yourself a dork for listening to the music people enjoyed enough to make a chart for?
My library consist almost entirely of songs I've discovered through SM/FFR. :3
Re: I just realized I've played this game for too damn long
for people who don't get it because Korean: I basically searched for all of the music files in the FFR Spring Pack and made a playlist to listen to while I wrote my Lit essays, lol. it's amazing how much Stepmania has affected my music taste.
Re: I just realized I've played this game for too damn long
Before Stepmania I listened to metal. Now I listen to heavier metal.. and more melodic. Stepmania may also have contributed to expanding how open I am to other genres as well.

Before stepmania my music collection was 1000 or so songs. Now it's ~45000 and rising lmfao
and there still is so much good music out there that i have yet to discover, find, or buy even.
(Over 1/3rd of my collection is lossless too, woo!)
Re: I just realized I've played this game for too damn long
Before SM all I've listened is alternative rock and hardstyle lmao. Now my music library is expanding, mainly soundtracks and electronic music. So glad I found Stepmania haha.
Re: I just realized I've played this game for too damn long
I can't even describe how much FFR and SM has shaped my music tastes. My first big genre of music I was ever into was breakcore, when I started playing FFR around 12. Before this, I literally didn't listen to music. Never searched to listen to it. Didn't like the radio. Didn't own an mp3 player. I was, however, very drawn to vg music (came out of the womb listening to sonic, sat and watched the preview of the game on the genesis just to hear the music until i was old enough to be able to play). I practically otherwise hated music until I discovered some of the stuff from FFR. I also got into metal around the same time, but that was cause of my cousins. Either way, I discovered all kinds of awesome electronic genres and different metal groups
Favorite band of all time is protest the hero, thanks to ffr.
Re: I just realized I've played this game for too damn long
Most of what I listen to is right out of rhythm gaming or stems from a similar artist I found through the game.
I listen to Dream Theater simply because of Constant Motion from Rockband 1's DLC
I found a lot of other groups I found while skimming through the Itunes store (Didn't buy it though cause lol Itunes fuck you.)
I only found Vocaloid music cause of FFR / SM. Love a good deal of it, but stick to the more metalized songs. Which lead me to Yuyoyuppe who easily has done something on most of the stuff I'm currently indulging in. (Draw the Emotional / His works / Vocaloud's compilation this could go on for a while.)
You're not the only one with a library full of gaming music most of us here probably are this way.
