On topic: I would probably feel a lot better about myself and the position I'm in now knowing I still had another 900 some years to go. Would probably plan accordingly and devote myself to something. But think about the endless knowledge we would be able to possess if our brains could live for that long and store that much information. That's what really makes me wonder. Society would be a much different place.

With that much time, I wouldn't have to worry about choosing a major and sticking with it; I could just major in everything I was ever remotely interested in xP that's not much of an option in the present time since its not really rational to spend like 50 years in school but with a 1000 years who gives a crap if I'm in school for bit longer? XP I'd probably also make some completionist goals to fulfill that would be feasible in 1000 years like traveling to every corner to the earth, etc. Some people have mentioned how our brains would have more time to learn more things and to develop more however memory is a funny thing, you forgot things after awhile and you get rusty at the things you don't pratice. But who knows what nee possibilities can arise from a life span like that.Comment

Good point, never really thought about that. There's still the possibility to decide to chose something to get a degree in, get a job, make enough money, go back to school, get another degree in something else, get a career/occupation in that something else, repeat/etc. If I had a 1000 years to live and lots of thing I'd like to do, I'd like to try to do it all :P
EDIT: School isn't cheap here, but its pretty good compared to some other places. I used to go to a more expensive/prestigious school and was able to live off financial aid but I wasn't able to acclimatize to the cultural and social changes in the mainland U.S. and I essentially broke down into depression and other emotional issues so I'm stuck back on this rock for now.
