I'm jealous, I didn't get to make a song this weekend because I felt too shit. but I'm trying to learn how to make leads filled with pitch bends and shit so they sound less boring. maybe I'll need to throw in echos too

maybe you need to get on IMs with me and give me more encouragement on weekends and make sure I finish some shit rofl. I totally could have. I just didn't give myself enough time to

edit: the song sounds really good if wasn't clear in all of that

famitracker and lsdj are really really similar, it's just that the mentality behind using them is different so people tend to make different products with them.

                      things that are the same:
                      square 1
                      square 2
                      noise
                      things that are different:
triangle and dpcm are replaced by wav, which plays low-bit waveforms at any frequency (so it can mimic triangle, another square, a sawtooth, etc.)
                      famitracker has no panning
famitracker has expansion chips and lsdj doesn't, but typically you can get the effects of using an expansion chip by using the wav channel well

I mean if you wanted to MAKE stuff in famitracker with me you'd have to learn it, but if you want to give advice to me about what I'm working on you should be able to do that with no effort since 90% of LSDJ techniques also work in famitracker and vice versa

True, but the effects and instrumentation is 50% of your song, and is quite different in lsdj. I'd be willing to sit down and look it over with you though

I am pretty sure you can do it all the same, it's just that effects that go with the instrument have to be laid out manually instead of in the instrument itself + no panning

Well both work similarly, but lsdj lets you double the effects

I'm sure LSDJ and Famitracker are both perfectly fine tools with their own drawbacks and strengths, both of which make them what they are. Besides, couldn't you use both if you wanted?

As for the song, the melody and rhythm are powerful and catchy, but the kick sounds like TV static and is kinda hard to listen to.
