Don't blame vvav. I'm completely at fault for this matter.
About changing the Hamachi nickname: the name doesn't change on the other members' side unless if the members restart Hamachi. you might want to add this in bold red somewhere. I tested with Gpop. Basically, changing your name to represent status doesn't help in any way. No one will know unless if they accidentally restart Hamachi.
Under Preferences, there is a separate option under Presence, that allows you to choose your current status. This is instantaneously visible to all network members (or so I believe, I never tested this). It says so under Hamachi network information. People should use this to set away/busy/online.
Otherwise, I believe you should have started this thread. You could have suggested all of these style changes you made during my run. Much more efficient use of space and superbly organized.

Updated information on Hamachi in regards to status changes. Use the built-in preferences, please. Read main post on how, in section V.
Also added Hamachi icons for those who joined the network. More information here:
