Re: The Riddle Thread
#13 was actually easy for me... Sorry. I poofed away from this thread, and couldn't find it again, lolz. Can anyone post more of these? I like them better than the number ones. I have enough math and Calculus as it is :P
Could #14 be REflection? I think it's a long stretch, but you never know...
Actually, I think it's a realllllly long shot. Scratch that unless it's right:PLast edited by 1M_4_N008; 02-25-2007, 09:17 PM.Comment

Re: The Riddle Thread
What happened in the middle of the 20th Century that will not happen again for 4,000 years?
Forward I am heavy, but backward I am not. What am I?
What won't break if you throw it off the highest building in the world, but will break if you place it in the ocean?Reverse for life!

I'll probably post more when I get some time to make them, or find a site with good ones on it.

Re: The Riddle Thread
Well, it has to be one of two things:
1. Something REALLY hard that dissolves in water...
or
2. Something soft and light that floats and naturally falls too slow to damage itself, but will dissolve or break apart in water.
I think the answer to the first one is 1961

Re: The Riddle Thread
I've got one that no-one has ever gotten before, mostly because it is completely insane..
You are in a room with no windows or doors. In the room is a mirror and a table. You have nothing with you but your wits. And clothes, don't forget the clothes. How do you escape?
Hint: Homonyms (less effective when typed)If it weren't for irony, this statement wouldn't be funny.Comment

Re: The Riddle Thread
@Icewolf:
1. More specifically, 1961 was a year in the 20th century that read the same upside-down.
It's won't happen again until 6009, a span of 4,048 years.
2. A ton. (Little wordplay here; read backwards, it is not.)
3. A tissue. The water will dissolve the tissue, but it won't break if you throw it from a height, unless something impales or otherwise knocks up the tissue.
@Meth:
Here's what you do.
You look into the mirror. You take what you saw, and use the "saw" to cut the table in half. Two halves make a "hole", and you exit through the "hole."AAAs: 56

Correct but you misspelled "whole".
I guess the homonyms thing was a pretty big hint.If it weren't for irony, this statement wouldn't be funny.Comment

Re: The Riddle Thread
I didn't misspell it. I deliberately put it in quotes with that spelling to show the wordplay.AAAs: 56
