Hmm, I have a couple short stories, but I don't really want them on the interwebs until I get them published.

Nice tournament. And compliments to chaz for the nice poems. I have written some poetry over the years, but with a few exceptions those are written in Dutch. English is not my mother tongue so it is hard for me to express my feelings in it. Still, I hope you can appreciate this poem which I have written a few years ago.

I could add a few of my essays, some of which have been published in some semi-scientific magazine already, but I guess noone is really interested in my lengthy elaborations on the influence of religion on ethnocentrism or the philosophical underpinnings of Edward Albee's major plays lol. I might add a short essay as a tiebreaker maybe:P.

        Cheers,

        Calli

        The Circle of Love

Oh Sun would you shine bright for me
Illumine mere shades of what’s real
Break through the crusts that conceal
Shed light on life so I can see

So I can see the essence of being
The thing that gives all matter sense
Make me look through hazes dense
Entrust me the key to a-freeing

To a-freeing objects from their shadow
Unlock people from their stern cages
Reveal to me the world of sages
Let blossom the rich golden meadow

The rich golden meadow that springs from cold ground
To make clear the truth is more than the sum
Of its parts that together contain an ovum
That will open up upon perception real sound

Perception real sound although unbound to reason
Passion that smiles in mirrors profuse
Love is the only right key we can use
To unlock itself in all things, every season

Oh Sun would you shine bright for me
Illumine mere shades of what’s real
Break through the crusts that conceal
Shed light on life so I can see

there once was a women from eeling.
who then had a terrible feeling.
                        she laid on her back.
                        opened her crack.
and pissed all over the ceiling.

im sorry i just had to post it, its so dam old.

ok, heres one that makes up for it.

                        heres a elegy.

                        Soldiers running through the town.
Echoes of gunfire in the background.
                        People fighting, crying, dying.
                        Peace is far from here.

Too long I have missed my mother of mine.
I sometimes wonder if I will be back in time.
The world is gone, everything is lost.
Peace is definitely far from here.

i made that last year. im very proud of it.
                        Yep.

                          My masterpiece:

There once was a man from Lacrass.
His balls were made out of brass.
                          And in stormy weather,
                          His balls rubbed together,
And sparks shot out of his ass.

                          As an aside...I hate limericks.
