I love the mighty ducks, best kids on the ice.

Out of the West Conference, my favorite team is indeed Anaheim. I hated that they choked last year but they are doing incredible this year. I have high hopes for them in the Playoffs.

I'm hoping Detroit can win it all this year, however my mindset generally never changes: Be happy that they make the playoffs.

As long as they make the playoffs I'm satisfied, but I know they can win the Stanley Cup just because of all the talent on that team. Only problem is Jimmy Howard and Overtime/Shootouts. It is painful to watch him in a shootout.

I live in Florida and a huge Hockey fan. NJ Devil fan myself, and to say the least, I am glad we beat the leafs last night !

Also, to the dude who said Crosby isn't the face of the franchise: He easily is as face of the franchise refers to just the specific team. Like the Sedins in Vancouver, and Stamkos in Tampa, Crosby is the face of Pittsburgh.

EDIT: Be happy if Detroit makes the playoffs? You must've been happy the last 22 years. They've literally made the playoffs every year I've been alive.

Why do you think most of the southern states besides the Calif teams are bad?

1996: Florida reaches SCF in 3rd year
1999: Dallas wins the Stanley Cup
2000: Dallas makes it to the SCF
2004: Tampa Bay wins the Stanley Cup
2006: Carolina wins the Stanley Cup
2012: Phoenix goes to the Conference Finals

Nashville is also one of the current top teams in the West and you can make a strong argument that they're Southern, and Dallas would also be a great team if their goalies didn't suck aside from Lehtonen.

Sens fan checking in. Although I have to admit that I am warming up to the Flames too...

Always nice to see fellow hockey lovers around! Now that I finally have a better paying job I'm going to try to make a game somewhere once per season. Being in the prairies makes it easy to see at least 3 teams at home!

Read carefully, I said most. Out of that list, Tampa is the only good team you listed. Panthers are decent but not in the running for 60+ points at the moment so jokes on you.

i am a casual caps fan, a few years ago i watched a lot more, but now i have no way to watch games other than to go to one which i should probably do sometime.

Caps are keeping their necks in the top 3 in the division, ovechkin sp is on fire. Personally a fan of his, one hell of a nasty goalscorer.

Quote makes it read like you mention throughout all of the NHL's history. This year, yeah most suck, but in term of all time, they've all had their moments. Same as any team (save for Atlanntipeg and Columbus).
