saying that a song on the top charts is automatically bad just shows you guys are very stubborn.. and like what you want. I personally think what you listen to is ****, because it's not in my taste of music. Yes, I like some songs on the top charts. The Beatles were on the top charts back in the day. They are my favorite band. Shoot me? Yes, I can put on the "top charts" generic radio station driving to school in the morning and find it listening worthy. Just because you guys have your own set views on music that is good or bad.. doesn't mean everyone else has to think that. Hell, i put Sandstorm on a CD for my swim team because we went dancing like idiots in halloween costumes and it was a good song for it. It was fun to listen to and screw around with during the time. And if you guys listen to such godly music.. why is it not on the top charts?

Yeah.
Maybe there's a reason why those songs got on the top charts.
Because a whole freaking lot of people liked them.
Some artists aren't given the blessing of good publicity, so they rely on the fans to spread the word.
But the artist doesn't rely on you bashing everything else. The artist doesn't need zero-competition, they need publicity.

Actually songs are on the top charts because they're catchy and shallow enough for your average musically-ignorant high-school-twat to get stuck in their head so that large companies can promote them and use them to sell jeans to suburban youth.

If you listen to music on the top charts, it's not because it's "listen worthy," it's because you don't know shit about music, and don't respect originality.

It pisses me off when I tell people I don't like some band they listen to, and then they get mad at me for having only heard one song by them, haven't heard their new album, or haven't heard anything by them. People do not realize that if they haven't heard of any of my music at all, there is little to no chance at all I will ever enjoy it.

If someone says have you heard that new song on the radio, it pisses me off even more because the radio is such bull****. I manage to survive listening to classic rock or classical radio, but jeez everything else is aural death. I'd seriously prefer some earsplitting noizecore.

ps The Horrorist is cool techno.
pps 256 is a good sound quality, it isn't absurdly big like flac and still sounds very good.
