'mo-saur, the computer you have is an excellent example of current-generation computers, and hopefully -through careful use and appropriate hardware upgrades- it will continue to be competitive against future computers. Well done.

It's lagging behind a bit but still barely able to run everything. The problem like buying a build like this is the best processor thats compatible with your motherboard is an Intel Core 2 Quad which has been replaced with 2 generations of I-series processors. The RAM supported is also slower known as DDR2. It's not too upgradable assuming you'll be upgrading at least a year from now.

My dad builds computers, he has a lot of shit laying around. We built pretty much two matching computers one for my sister also. I got the 7200 RPM HDD though ! Graphics card was only for me. Also, I had to upgrade to 64 bit and now have 8gb of ram since the 32 bit could only handle three.

Although "how fast" a computer is, is quite subjective, all that matters is if it's powerful enough to accomplish your needs and tasks comfortably. Personally, I have a computer pretty much identical to yours except my processor isn't overclocked and running at 2.4GHz, and like I said I can play EVERY GOD DAMN GAME ON THIS PLANET. I think most people in this thread really underestimate this rig, and don't have a firm understanding on how a computer works.

I'm pretty sure anyone can play any game with any computer . It's just that some won't be able to feel/see the performance and quality that a high-end computer offers.

1) You need enough RAM to support all the processes running during the time of the game.

2) You need a processor fast enough to generate the numbers and make the decisions fast enough to play the game without immense choppy lag.

3) You need a video card to even play WoW. My laptop in raids in WoW back in BC ran at 0.3FPS and was unplayable.
