Anyone who has ever died from drug use obviously wasn't using them in a smart way. If people would limit themselves and show some self control there wouldn't be as many deaths related to drug use. But there are always going to be those people that can't control themselves and over do it.

I'm not saying target only the poor welfare just happens to be the topic at hand. I think anyone that's going to receive something essentially for nothing should have to meet certain guidelines including being drug free. Why do I take a stance on drugs so harshly? Because it makes my head spin how many do them now. It was such a taboo thing before and no one spoke of it really. Now just sitting here on ffr all you ever see is something about someone being high. I lost friends and a family member to drugs, so yea I'm sorry I have a little bit of a personal bias against drugs. I don't run around telling people what they should or shouldn't do when it comes to them. But if you have the money to **** your body up then you don't need the taxpayers money in your pocket. That's just how I feel.

Okay, so if your problem is with drugs -- again, why focus on those on welfare? Why should they be subjected to this kind of test and not other groups that have higher usage rates? Why waste money on tests that won't actually solve the problems that welfare is plagued by? Why not put that money to butter use?

Economically and socially, this plan does not solve anything. The statistics don't justify it. This law is nothing but a way to perpetuate a false stigma and humiliate people when they're already down.

TBH: None of our mods are great by any stretch. They tend to bring there personal life and their values into play instead of doing there job.

People need a refresher on forum rules: being a prick in your opinion and then telling said staff member to kill themselves = disrespect to staff = 3 day ban. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but being disrespectful about it is perfect reason to be punished.

Right because the occasional post is having a poor attitude. The majority of my posts on this forum are helping others. Plus none of you want to listen to the rules then get all butthurt when we do ban you but then we're supposed to treat you like gold. That makes a ton of sense.

Again I never said only target welfare programs. This just happens to be the topic of the thread. I think they need to continue on cracking down on drugs unless they're going to legalize and moderate it. Too many stupid people doing too many stupid things. People debated how suicide is selfish, well so is drug use.

Right I suck so bad at being a mod considering I take action to every reported post immediately. I try not to be too much of a tightwad because you guys get all upset when the mods are "fun killers" but then if we make one or two posts that take even the slightest jab at someone you guys go all "oh they're such bad mods" If you guys don't want us banning you for every little poor post you make then don't target us for being bad mods if we make an occasional "bad" post. I simply told mans0n to back up his posts because he's always posting with no real information. And this is a debate in this thread how is using personal experiences to back up what I feel about something wrong? Many tools are used for debating including personal experiences.

halogen are you high bro? plenty of intelligent and smart people use and have used drugs, so please don't even get me started on that list.

Drugs have a bad rep in general because weak minded people abuse them and do bad shit while either high on them or for the drugs because they '' needed'' it.
Anyone that's a respected person of society will tell you it's all about maintaining and having self control if your going to do drugs. And doing them in the right place at the right time is also important as well.
Those people are what give a lot of a drugs a bad rep which doesn't necessarily mean that the drug(s) itself is/are bad when used with moderation and consideration like a smart person would do.

And Psychoangel anyone who ever bought laced drugs is because they decided to buy from someone who they didn't know. Which is in the end pretty much their fault because thats what happens when you buy from someone you don't trust, or even know. Which can easily be avoided if you go to the right people of course.

I fully support this! I do NOT want my money paying for the drugs an addict uses. I'd rather have it go to someone that is actually in need of food and shelter.
