Whatever, ska kicks ass.
As a movement ska is over 40 years old... It is just not many people knew about it until it was on the radio.. As with all radio music, the best bands are those not on it.
If you like reggae or bigband jazz, you will probably enjoy ska. Here is a list of some bands to check out, some you might of heard of:

once again 87 you are wrong... I grew up in the LA ska scene, which No doubt was a part of...when they first hit the clubs they had a full 3rd wave punkska sound...tragic kingdom is a modified version of that sound..then they got big and started changing things around a bit.. they arent ska so much anymore..but their roots is with the movement ...Comment
