I know three people from the FFR/SM community that have some form of autism, and you wouldn't even know. Well, one of them is kinda obvious but still.

I don't really get that joke. Anyway, I really don't think autism has anything to do (directly) with how smart he is. I think maybe it just caused him to have less and friends and spend more time reading calculus books (wow). But yea, he does have a knack for this kind of stuff.

Well, it's not *that* impressive.

Kim Ung Yong is not very well known, but he was doing this at age 4. His IQ was around 210. In terms of childhood IQs, 170 is practically chump change. 170 converted into a deviation score is about the 99.993rd percentile, or 1 in 14,000, whereas an IQ of 210 is about 1 in 20 million.

There might be people on this forum with a higher IQ.

Einstein's IQ was probably quite high (Over 140, since the average for Nobel Prize winners is about 140), but the reason he achieved what he did was because of his absolute and extraordinary dedication to his field, not his absolute intellect. The same goes with this kid. Obviously his aptitude is astronomical, but what kind of life he chooses to live is up to him.

Michael Kearney's IQ was measured at somewhere around 300 when he was 6. He got a Masters Degree at 14, and is obviously super smart, but is no Einstein; he has chosen to do other things with his life.

Savant's are only gifted in one particular field (Mozart-Music/Rainman-Memory). He might be, but he may be gifted elsewhere's as well, we're not exactly sure.

The autism probably has a lot to do with it actually. Spergs often have very restrictive and narrow interests. This dude likes math and probably doesn't give a shit about anything else.
