Don't get me wrong, it sucks that people get hurt by this stuff, but weather is awesome.

At least you didn't get slammed by 7.0 earthquake which destroyed your ****ty island infrastructure and led to a minor holocaust. Gotta look at the bright side.

ps krunkykai this storm is actually the definition of awesome. As is, inspires awe.

Any videos of the storm? It is bright and sunny out my windows and it is really quite boring.

I haven't found any yet but the storms weren't finished last I checked. We probably will see vids late tonight or tomorrow.

I wouldn't have made a thread about it if it hadn't completely shocked me/caught my attention. I used to follow major weather events on a pretty regular basis a couple years ago, but I stopped.

Of course, this gives people no right to be complete dicks and laugh at it.

This storm still has some pretty large coverage too:

              (all tornado watches)

That's strange, Rochester is right by the giant red shape, but the weather hasn't changed at all.

It's probably because 10/10 days in Rochester are already rainy and windy so the difference is minimal

I am not enjoying these 70 mph winds and snow. I cannot see out my window.

I'm like, right beside the northern tip of that and there was only some rain here.

I'm in Elkhart, Indiana. Just looked out the window and there's one tiny little cloud floatin' by. It was gray and dark this morning, raining a bit too, but that's it. Nothing happened here I guess. Lucky.

This same very storm is actually hitting South Carolina, right now O_O

And it STILL has that tornadic activity...f*cking impressive storm.

EDIT: There's a tornado warning one county west of us, heh.

                            60mph - Mackinac Bridge
73mph - (1mph below Hurricane Force) at Port Inland on Lake Michigan on the Schoolcraft/Mackinac County line in the U.P.
65mph - Big Sable Point Lighthouse in Mason County
                            62mph - Manistee Harbor
                            54mph - Newberry
                            54mph - Cadillac
                            45mph - Frankfort Airport
                            41mph - Rudyard

Here is ones from Michigan that had the highest wind speed. I kind'of wished I was in Cadillac for this because I think this is awesome. I live near Traverse City and it was raining a little and the winds blew a little. Now 41mph but it's still was pretty cool.

So that's why it was so windy this morning/afternoon. Clear skies, but I'm still watching the trees sway as I type this.

I live about 11 miles north of Detroit proper, situated a minute's jog from International Academy. Hearing about all the stuff that's happening to the north and west makes we wonder where this thing is headed, and if my area is going to get its fair share.
