I dunno man, I really think people may have been put off by a black president and female vice president since the last few hundred years have been dominated by only white males. I think going with a white vice president was a smart move.

Well, it's obvious why he went with the old white man for the same reason why the old white man thought a young white woman would be a good call. But you underestimate, I think, the cachet attached to the Clinton name.
