Also, it seems like everyone is forgetting that high school is an exercise in answering questions in the manner the teacher deems correct. If the teacher decides that 1 + 1 = 3, if you want to pass the test, put 1 + 1 = 3.

I have to agree with this; my history teacher has problems with how I take my notes so he marked my notes as zero points out of 30 and purposely screwed up my honor roll D:<

It's a noun. A good teacher or professor should be able to admit his or her mistakes, not ignore them. Everyone makes mistakes, and it is better to admit it, learn something, and move on. I would not have thought less of her if she had admitted it soon after the first incident, but now that this has been going on so long, it does not reflect well on her.

Had a meeting today.

Some key points:
She told me it was ridiculous to be bugging her this much about it, and she only cares about the issue because she might have to fail people for academic dishonesty.
She copied it from the English Department Chair, so they were on her side in the issue.
The 'disrespectful tone' was from my referring to the fact that she hadn't taught me it in a way that I could understand, and insulted her precious master's degree.
The multitude of emails was because each of my emails sent four times and she was getting pissed.

As it stands, she said if Mrs. Mann got back to me and agreed it was a noun, she would admit she was wrong and personally apologize.

PS. Mrs. Mann just agreed with me.

She's still pissing me off. She doesn't seem to understand that the structure of the sentence doesn't change because it's "conjoined" or whatever with the sentence before it. Just because a word was a verb in one sentence doesn't mean it's automatically a verb in another. Words have different parts of speech depending on how they are used and placed within a sentence. It boggles me that she doesn't understand this.

I'm sorry for HER... she is having such a hard time!

I still say you should send her my "leap" argument, although if she's giving everyone a +1 it may just be better to let it go, get the grade, move on, and let bygones be bygones.

Even if there is dispute over the part of speech regarding 'gift,' she doesn't make a damn claim against the otherwise ironclad statement that adjectives, simply put, do NOT DESCRIBE VERBS. Your teacher is retarded.
