its cool that your at least trying out for your team so you can get some experience. Its fun just don't worry too much about how your opponent is playing and just play your own game. Yeah, having the right sticks will diffidently help your game in the long run if you do decide to go on with golf.

yeah, try to expose yourself mega, play in local tournaments and stuff.
i did this larry gilbert tour thing, where kids 14-19 play tournaments twice a week at different places, it was great for experience.

also playing for the high school is good for setting up a routine.

Hey, thanks for the advice. When I was 11 and 12 my parents signed me up for this Junior Linkster tour or something, there were a few tournaments per year, and it was fun, meeting new people and stuff. I have to agree that tournaments are a good experience. Also, next year, I think I'll be trying out for one of the city-wide tours. I tried once last year for the 13 and under but I didn't make it. :/

yeah golf is getting to the point now a days where kids are starting like at age 4 lol and becoming scratch or near it before they even get to high school which makes it even tougher. Yeah man keep trying to get into as many tournaments as you can so you can develop many valuable skills that will help you in the future.

I've been playing tennis for about 4 years now.

I have Nadal's racket [Babolat Aeropro Drive (the old one)].

I got out to play basically every day in August and I've been keeping a steady tennis schedule since the school year started.

I plan to play USTA tournaments soon since I can now drive myself to and from them so that will be a convenience.

I feel ya lol. I had a Crappy set that i got with my own money when i played my first year which was a full set of Dunlops from Wallmart haha. I always felt like i had the crappy set when i went to matches because my only cool club was my drive that i could not even hit which was a Taylormade r460 or something like that. As i started saving up for money i slowly started getting my complete set.

Now i have a Ping g5 stiff 9 degree driver
- ping g10 3 wood 15.5 degree stiff
- Adams 2 iron hybrid 16 degree stiff
-4-pitching ping s58 blades
- 56 and 52 degree titleist Vokey wedges
- crappy 60 degree which i barley use
and a standard ping anser putter.( the one that is blue) forgot what the year it is.

Im pretty happy with my set =)

oh god if i had that set xD
personally i love hitting a 56, i just love taking a full swing and going straight up and land 50-75 yards

A guy on my team, the number one seed has a very similar racket, and has three of them, he loves them, and they look veryyyy good.

Yeah they are fun to hit. My full sand wedge shot doesn't go as high as people think it should but man when it lands.... it has a ton of spin =p

The best time I've gotten 2 aces in a row was with my friend, who made it captain last year and since there was so many good players on the team, I became 2nd doubles (ew, lol!). There was 20 of us, so yeah.

But anyway, even though I can never win against him, I got two aces in a row with him and won that point. I felt like me being a Roddick and my friend was Nadal, ahaha!

Other than that, my last recent tournament was when I was still in school and got 5 aces the whole game, but it was mixed doubles... so... yeah, it was nothing, lol. My partner was valedictorian, bt she sure as hell didn't play tennis.

I felt stupid though because I donated blood that day, but I still didn't want to miss that match. I slept on the bus home and merely passed out. xD

I played on my high school golf team all 4 years, third overall golfer with an average of -6 for each 18 holes. I knew this guy that got birdies left and right and even sunk a few eagles. Farmington Hills is my favorite golf course, I went and saw the pga tour when it came there, that was my favorite round of the tour.
