Perhaps all of you are super-human, and evolved past the point of needing sleep. Instead, of you're perfectly functionally in your current state, indulge it!

For me, the only sleep aid that works is Lunesta and it doesn't even do it's entire job. It doesn't help me to get to sleep. I just keeps me asleep. Also, it gives you an EXTREMELY bitter, lasting taste in your mouth that doesn't go away for like 4 hours.

DSPD...thats what I have, read up on it, it could be you too.

Nothing works for me, even sleep pills are rubbish, so what i usually end up doing is forcing myself to stay up all night + the next day til 7 or 8 pm. Then i usually wake up at a good hour the next day, and my cycle makes more sense for a while again.
            ...starting up again

I have this problem and I've got 2 solution for you :

1st : Relax, close your eyes, free your mind of any thoughts (this may take a while) and if your still awake fater this (in my case) your senses are going to be sharpened. Try to feel the flow of air on your body, smell your body and hear the silence. All that without moving. You won't realise that you'e fallen asleep and the next morning, you're gonna feel so relaxed

2nd : Take gravol a little bit before you're gonna go sleep. You'll never have sleeped like that I only did this once and I think that in long terms that may cost a lot :/

I personnaly use the 1st one. It takes a while to master but all the stress is gone in the morning.

If you have a pool swimming is a great way to wear the **** out of yourself, sometimes inducing sleep as you're brushing your teeth. (i'm talking about 75 laps)

Meh, we tend to over-diagnose ourselves to the point of absurdity. Any one of us can be diagnosed with twenty different disorders and problems, but there's no need. A life of balance usually does the trick.

I'm manic depressive, so I tend to veer toward extremes. Insomnia just one symptom. I notice when I do things in moderation, my difficulties with the disorder tend to decrease. It's often the same for people who don't have a mental illness, so you may want to consider this way of thinking.
