    Re: Goodbye Favre

Farve needed to retire, Green Bay was going to give him 20 million just to not come back. I am beginning to think that he doesn't even care about money or playing, he just wants to stroke his overinflated ego anymore. Also it can be argued that he wasn't even good for the past couple years. I know I personally think he chokes in postseason.

      Re: Goodbye Favre

Well, Green Bay shouldn't have forced him to be a backup, but then again, Favre probably shouldnt have wanted to get traded so soon anyways.

Why does he want to return anyways? The only thing that's gonna change is that he's gonna add to his interceptions record and improvise some more, but other than that, nothing will change. And plus, can anyone here imagine him in a Jets uniform anyways?

And this must be really tough for Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers get a 2009 4th round pick. It could be upgraded to a 1st round pick if Farve plays 80% of the time and the Jets go to the Super Bowl.

Now that that's through. I'm the biggest Jets fan on the site, and I've been a lifelong fan. There is absolutely no way any of you can argue with me and convince that A)The Jets aren't a good team. B)That the Jets don't have more talent than the Giants. and C) That this was a bad trade.

Favre Coles Cotchery Jones + New revamped defense means the Pats will have to earn a wildcard berth.

          Callin it yo.

The only way I'll think that New York made a good trade is if they beat the Pats both times this season (+14, +10) and they will the Super Bowl (+13).

Its about time the Jets have a comeback. And hopefully Favre grants that. I mean they haven't truly been good since what, Namath? I'm also greatly surprised at how little Favre talk there was on TV today since he is the most overglorified guy in football.

I'm pretty sure they went to the AFC championship in '98 with Testeverde and were leading the bronco's at halftime.

Also, remember that game where Pennington and the Jets wrecked the Packers 31-0 in the AFC wildcard game?

                Yeah, they've been good.

Part of what you said is incredibly accurate. The other part is just complete bull****. The first part of that statement is correct, as they did advance to the AFC Championship Game in 1998, with the Jets leading 3-0 at halftime and scoring an early 2nd-half touchdown to take a 10-0 lead before losing 23-10 on a late Broncos rally. This part was right.

The 2nd part makes no sense at all. First of all, the Packers are in the NFC, and the Jets in the AFC, how can the Jets win the AFC Wildcard against them if they aren't even in the same division? You may be thinking of the 2002 season, where they beat the Indianapolis Colts 41-0.

And for people who say I have no life, it's not that, it's just that I have an incredibly good memory when it comes to remembering scores and other stuff, especially football games.
