Well, as everyone else has stated. The dressing up as a poor person and then having a laptop would be dumb, for lack of a better word. And I highly doubt people would pay you money to see you play Step Mania or FFR. But it sounds like a fun idea to try anyway. If you do end up doing this, good luck to you, poppet.

Not a bad idea, but if you did that **** in my city you would not only get beating the hell up for playing ffr but you will also get mugged, stripped, raped, and then basically destroyed. But by all means do it anyway, sounds like a plan.

lol, sounds ike an awesome idea.
I persinally wouldn't do it for money, but just to gain popularity for the site and get more people interested. if someone like set up a booth where you could play ffr, that would definitely work.
maybe have a booth and sell t-shirts or something if your looking to make serious cash. i don't know if its legal to sell ffr shirts or anything though, so maybe look into it a bit further if you're actually gonna do it.

I have a laptop and I'm poor. I saved up my money for about a year until I went to a convention center and bought a used Win 2000 for 200 dollars. It sounds like a good idea to me.

I'd do this if i had a laptop. I'd probably not even care about the hat though just set up a table, whip out a laptop and keyboard that's hooked in (Laptop arrows are to small for me) and just play in public for fun. Heck do it during the game whore competition.

Go to the local cyber cafe or something. Computer use is about $1/hr there (at least it is where I live), and then the "people with laptops aren't poor" rule won't come into play.

If there's no cyber cafe where you live, get a really old used ghetto laptop.
