            The fetus does not have petra fetus, it has harlequin type icthyosis and it did not die in the womb, its till alive, look at the vids

                        I doubt that there will be a cure for this until scientists decode and understand DNA information, and then find a way to splice it while the baby is in its early stages of development. That probably wont happen for another 1000 years. :/

                            Highly doubt that one. We've already decoded the entire human genome.

                            We went to that from not even having cars a century before. So I think it won't take 1,000 years when we have such a curve in our advancements.

                                    I agree with organism. Think about what we've developed and discovered in the past 100 years. I think that for us to make assumptions about the future is pointless. We seem to be developing cures and such so fast that we could have a way to cure HTI in the next 75 years.

                                        Until you get to college you don't learn anything useful at all. High school is absolutely useless. You learn how to regurgitate useless information.

                                        I have the original article from my local newspaper somewhere. It happened 7 years ago. And as far as I remember we've gone pretty far with decoding the genomes of several other creatures.

                                        We're just beginning to learn how each gene functions, and maybe some day we'll learn how to alter it.

                                        Imagine what could come of it. Good things, like elimination of hereditary disorders like the ones mentioned in this thread.... or bad things... like, well, read Brave New World if you haven't already.
