Sometimes teachers don't do their jobs the right way. You must organize a GROUP of people that agree that the teacher is being unjust or doing a bad job and tell the right people about the teacher.

Mind, though I'd normally agree with you, his teacher has every right to do that because he hasn't been doing his work and from what I can tell he's been mouthing off to his teacher for no good reason. It seems like he's already going to fail the class and this grade seems like a redemption.

I believe there's a right way to give grades and there's a wrong way.
There's usually a citizenship grade and a class average.
If he does enough to pass like he says he does, then the teacher has no right to fail him. One grade should not automatically fail him, especially if there are a lot of grades to be averaged.
He is being dumb for not doing the work in revolt. What feels better than failure? Success.

God forbid a teacher has to motivate you to do something. Guess what. Teachers do this stuff all the time. Welcome to the real world where nobody puts up with your I'm-a-teenager-hear-me-roar ****wit attitude. It's a TYPING CLASS; if you can't even succeed there you're not cut out for graduating to the next grade, especially if you're refusing to do assignments that you were instructed to do.

You're a teenager, therefore nobody gives a damn what you think. Accept that and start trying to be not-so-dimwitted.

I agree with your basic ideas that there is a right and a wrong way to give grades, but I strongly disagree with your idea of a revolt and failure. First of all, you did not even address the aspect of HIM BEING BIASED. Of course, being a teenager, he is going to shift everything into his favor in order to get attention, guilt, or whatever his motives were. I'm almost 100% certain that this one assignment was the determining point of a decent grade or a failing one.

It is clear that he obviously hasn't been putting very much effort into the class, and school as a whole for that matter. You saying that he should be a jackass and OMG REVOLT GUYZ is just retarded and out of the picture. Where is the teacher in the wrong? Where is this student in the right? The teacher is just doing her job, she is helping kids learn how to type in order to prepare them for the real world and help them graduate high school. If this student isn't meeting the requirements, the teacher has every right to pressure him/her into doing work so that he/she can actually pass the class with a decent grade. If you don't meet the expectations, people aren't going to bow down to you and help you out all the time once you get out of college. You cannot expect pity from anyone and him coming to a forum to get some pity is pathetic. People encouraging him (Jewpin, Mindfields) is cruel and just plain immature. xxH03xx, start working for once in your life and don't expect pity from people online because if you are a lazy ass, you are going to be treated like one.

Anyway, whoever said it could be a grace assignment could be right. Teachers will do everything they can to motivate their students to do better, and also to give them better grades. If I were your teacher, I would give you a MILLION extra credit assignments so that you would pass my class and get the **** out, because I honestly have better things to do than deal with a spoiled little ****head who feels he is entitled to preferential treatment despite being a rude slacker the entire year or semester.

Did you mention a dean? Does that mean you are at a private school? In that case, your teacher has WAY more privileges than teachers in public schools, so she probably COULD fail you for your ****ty attitude. I wouldn't, because it would mean another class with you, but maybe the consequences of your horrible typing skills have gotten to her and she feels compelled to give one more try at making you less of a moron.

I strongly doubt that your teacher has made an assignment mandatory for you and only you. You probably went to her desk and told her the assignment was stupid, so she informed you that, whether or not you appreciate the purpose of the assignment, not doing it would give you a zero, and you have probably not done enough assignments that one more zero would fail you.

It still kills me to wonder how anyone can possibly fail a typing class. I am almost definately one of the worlds slowest typists. I had 40-45 WPM through typing class last year, if I recall correctly, and I had an A-B the entire year. Want to know the secret? Doing your work.
