As said earlier, your typing skills need work anyway. Have you been on instant messengers too much? Those will generally lower your typing skill over time.

My ass they do. Well, I suppose they would if you typed like a complete and utter retard (r u ppl sum1 hu lyk kewl), but I have little doubt that AIM was the biggest factor in improving my typing speed because I use proper grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. And look where I am: I can type pretty fast and my audience won't immediately dismiss what I say as not worth a second of their time because I'm too lazy to type out a word.

It is, of course, wrong for her to apply an assignment to you and you only, but you should do it anyway.

It really depends on where you are. If you live around reasonable people, then her doing the right thing won't bother anyone. If you're around a place that hates getting results out of school and letting the kids/idiot parents run the education system, then yeah, she's not doing a good thing.

In simple terms, if you and her were to argue in front of an audience, she would win.

EDIT: Guido is very correct. The main reason I type well is because during my 7th grade year, I'd go to a chat room every day after school. My typing skills soared. However, the topic creator should realize that even though there might be some...er..alot of flaming going around, we only want the best for you. Suck it up, do the assignment, pass the course, live the rest of your life, etc etc...

Did the thought ever occur that the assignment that she's "forcing him to do" may in fact be a grace project? He's already admitted that he's doing less than admirably in the class, the project could very well be a last-ditch by his teacher to allow him to pass. Or even bump him up to a higher letter grade, which according to him would be a B. I know I've had my fair share of personal assignments just because, despite my slacking in class, teachers really liked me and wanted me to do better.

Why shouldn't you be failed? What makes you think that you are above the grading system? It's not her fault that you are a lazy motherfu*ker who won't do his goddamn work. She should have stood her ground especially because she was right and not you. Now you're going to get a passing grade even though you don't deserve it. Ok, seriously.
USE what you learn in your typing class here. If you're going to type a message, at least type it right. It's no wonder you're failing. You clearly have no intention of trying to do well. I can sense that you're the type of person who only does things for the sake of the grades. You don't actually learn anything. That will hurt you.

If you want to make fun of a teacher, do it subtly. Egging her car is n00b.
One of my friends constructed her english presentation so it made lots of clever jabs at my teacher/ the whole concept of an English class. It was great. That's how you do it.
