Seriously, if my mouse died and my multiple backups died, I'd just use numpad. It's awesome.

I'm pretty much set on the MX510. Whoever said Logitech is a bad company is a liar.

I have the MX518. Pretty much the same as the 510, except you can set the DPI to 1600 which I never do anyways. It's a great mouse.

I didn't think I'd be using the scroll wheel buttons (it's essentially like using the scroll wheel without the scrolling), but I seem to be using it all the time. I just need to get used to its location. It pretty much scrolls from one post to the next of a standard post size which is amazingly awesome. I don't seem to be using the back/forward buttons as often, but that's because I'm more of a "new tab" person.

Anyways, I honestly don't know how you guys can use a corded mouse. I can't stand it when I'm at work. Then again, some of you use resolution 1024x768, which still makes everything huge, or lower, group windows together, and have messy desktops...

The only problem with my MX700 now is that the range has greatly dwindled. I used to be able to have it all the way across the room and still work. Now it pretty much has to within the 3 feet it recommends. There went my remote for my movies. Now I have to use my keyboard for that.

Good choice with Logitech Squeek, even though it is corded...

And speaking of customizing mouse buttons... Here's how mine is set-up:


Of course, the usual left and right click buttons, and the scrolling for scroll... The ctrl+shift button needs to be held down while I click the left mouse button to open the new background tabbed windows. My set-up is pretty sweet.

Maybe because I don't sit 50000000000000000000 feet away from my computer. The cord has like 6 extra feet of cable for slack. It makes NO DIFFERENCE whether it is corded or not on my desk. I like it more because it's not only cheaper for the mouse, but I also don't have to use batteries and I don't SOMETIMES get a delay.
