No, I don't have an iPod.

And no, I won't be able to DJ. All of my BRILLIANT 900 songs and 90 purchased ones from iTunes are gone, as well as Sam2 and all the information that was plugged into it so that I was able to DJ last summer. All files that were important to me were lost(such as my great TWG idea that I revamped that was a sure winner for next time), pictures, etc. I'm glad I have my photobucket. I downloaded iTunes again to see if it would load up my purchased songs from my account but it didn't.

I have never had a hard drive conk out yet.
I hope that it stays that way.

Now that I think about it, I would lose my stepmania folder, and a fair amount of Irreplacable work. I need to get all the stuff on CDs/DVDs.

Jurs, that sucks. i don't know what to tell you, just hopw it doesn't take 2 months to fix because thats how long i had to wait.

Picture this: christmas evening, my parents decided to give my sister and I our one big present each, she got an ipod, and i got a picture of the computer that i was supposed to be getting. needless to say it didn't arrive and a few days later i left for acapulco. So, when i got back i was expecting it but it still wasn't there and i didn't recieve it until late feburary.

So I kno how bad it must feel but cheer up, it could be worse.

I got that same error message a few weeks ago. The problem was I had a floppy disk in, so all I did was remove it and it worked again.

Jurs, I say again, take it to a tech center before you listen to those tech support retards. They don't have any way to know what's wrong with your harddrive, and they're pulling stuff out of their ass. I'm serious. Even if your harddrive IS corrupted, chances are a good tech center can still retrieve a large portion of your data. More than likely, a system file just got corrupted or something. I mean, hell, didn't you read my rants about the idiocy of tech support?

You owe it to your computer to get it checked out. Five hundred thousand dollars says it's something really stupid and easily fixable.

Wow jurs that really sucks, that happened to me about 4 months ago and i lost ALL of my files songs and downloaded games . I honestly know how you feel. Like anticrombie said, take it to tech support before calling theyr shitty ass homeless wanna be tech'es.

Really though, listen to my advice. Most likely a file in Windows was corrupted. You'll probably be able to search through your old one with your new one once you put Windows on your new drive.

Yeah I don't even have a floppy drive. No discs in the computer, either. Anti, I want to do what you're telling me to do, but I don't know of that place you mentioned. The only tech place around here is a shitty place that I don't even think knows what they're doing =\
