      Spyware Blockers and Repairation

All files that are customizations, that might or might not be a problem, but this program is one of my greatest tools. "HijackThis":
MajorGeeks offers only 4-star or better geek-tested and reviewed software for Windows along with tutorials and videos when you need help with your computer.

(This can also search for hidden data streams.)

Fairly thourough for ActiveX problems. "Xcleaner Micro Edition":

A very nice blocker. I use it in conjunction with the search & destroy immunizer. "SpywareBlaster":
Prevent the installation of spyware, adware, malware, and more. Free download.

My ActiveX blocker, this has been a great silent helper. Only after going to HijackThis and seeing problem files, did I know that this thing was good.

      I hope this helps.

None of those can find the source of this crap, I checked with all of them, and immunized the ones I could.

Ah, ask LD about XoftSpy registration codes. Pretend it's legal!

Thats what I was thinking, I just haven't got around to asking him yet. Well then, LD, could you post one here or PM Qreepy and I one?

edit: Sorry I forgot to thank you for the help Cenright, you took the time to try to help as much as you could and I thank you for that.

I'm not saying I would like one, but if an activation code were to appear in my inbox I would promptly delete it without using it. Scouts honor.

You could always do a system restore if it happened suddenly/recently.

Thats the problem, I JUST noticed it. I'm a lazy ass and don't scan much so I don't know exactly when it happened. One more question, I've been trying to do a system restore, but how do you set it back to a specific day or download rather than deleting the entire computer and restarted it as if it were new?

Yuck. Sounds like you got a worse degree of the one I got. I feel your pain.

I used all the scanning/virus removing softwares I could, which seemed to get rid of most of it, and then installed Sygate. It's still not completely fixed, but it's good enough for me to copy my stuff off, so I can reformat.

                        :\ Goodluck.

Damn, I guess your right Moogy, I have to format. Well, when I finally give up and format, I'll edit this if it is the latest post or make a post if it isnt. Until then, is there any free virus scanner/deleter that picks up more than Spybot S+D.
