anyone else thing "fedex" is kind of a sketchy answer? I mean, I think he got tired and was waiting for a close game before he took a dive.

in any even, that woman was good, but she is not worthy of beating him.

I wonder if he'll ever come out and say that they gave him the answers so that they could up their ratings. I mean, there is a chance that he's just really nerdy and learned all this stuff, or there's a chance that it was all rigged. I'd like to think he deserved his wins, but I can't discount the possibility of cheating. I mean, think about it, who watches Jeopardy anymore? But how many people watch it JUST to see this guy? And now maybe those people who were watching will continue to watch. Whether he was given the answers or not, he definitly help Jeopardy's ratings.

And I'm told he said he'd just quit whenever he got bored.

And the man writes Quiz Bowl (high school trivia competition, for those who don't know) quizzes and standardized tests for a living.

panda... he is the senior writer for the Utah state quizbowl competition. his job is a software engineer.

and, for the answer to the question.... my original thought was fedex/ups, then i realized that it had to be accounting. 1, package delivery isn't white-collar. 2. CPUs pretty much only work between january and april, when people are filing their taxes.

like i said in the original post... i realized it was accounting, just not which firm.

and, the whole thing does seem fairly staged. his single day record is 75,000... and he got both daily doubles wrong in double jeopardy on questions that i feel he should have gotten at least 1 of them right. but, evilbutterfly... there isn't a chance in hell he received the answers. gameshows are highly regulated by the FCC ever since the late 50s. watch the movie Quiz Show to find out why.

He didn't cheat - and Jeopardy's ratings have been high forever. The highest for game shows for the last 10 years, but what he did give them was more sponsorship oppertunities..

I'll probably watch until Zerg loses.. which will probably be tomorrow. After that, screw it. Once I'm 2 generations away from Jennings it's not worth viewing.
