Anyways I think the webcams hurt and help the chat. In a way the webcams are cool but I think it makes people retarded in the sense of how people just come on to watch girl's cams or ask them to flash their breasts.

Well i'm sure there's other things that could be done, because sometimes when certain people get banned, they can keep coming back because of their IP addresses. ISP is the only thing i can think of, maybe if someone got them all together in bulk and gave them to synth at the end of the month or something, he could send them out all at once and just put a little time aside to do so.

In addition, the chat supports a limited number of users, is extremely buggy, and has further issues with the webcam support, where many users have found it humorous to act inappropriately.

Finally, whereas Flash applications periodically lose their connection to the server, IRC rarely acts up in this regard.

The chat supports a limited number of users because it costs $500 dollars for another (50 concurrent user)/(greater data tranfer limit) liscence. Since the web cams and the audio streams take up alot of that tranfer limit, the chat will never be able to reach as many users as it could hold.

I dont think I ever lost server connection while in the chat. Except for the time where synth decided to dump all the users to do something.

Synth is waiting for the newest version of the chat to come out before he replaces it.

I think the current transfer limit is fine. That's all we need.

The webcams and mics add a LOT to the chat. It wouldn't be popular if they weren't there.

to Jurseyrider and TheSmith: How about this, take one Ip for a user, and take the time to see how long it takes you to contact that ISP, discuss the issues, and get them to process blocking that IP from the chat server IP. Just one. Then reconsider what you are saying. Oh and just to toss a little more mud on your argument. Consider the fact that many people DON'T have static IP's so in order to ban them you would have to ban their entire host mask. Just a thought... in my humble opinion irc is much superior and you could create a ventrillo server also so all you mic whores can annoy each other verbally. And there are webcam plugins for irc too.
