Bah. The permit test here sucks. It's two tests: signs and general stuff. On signs you have to get 10/10. It's easy until they throw you a curveball: A CONE. WHAT? It's a CONE! It means... CONE!

And you can't miss 5 on the general out of 25. The 4 I missed were all distance-related questions that weren't in the freakin book. Then it's 50 hours of driving (10 at night) and 7 hours of instructor-led driving. And you can't get your license until you're 16 1/4 years old minimum.

But happy birthday. I hate you for that fridge and plan to steal it later tonight along with any other gifts you get. Sleep with one eye open....

Here you only have 20 questions and 16/20 lets you pass. However, if you've answered the first 16 right, then you can quit right then and there (computerized test).

All the distances were in my manual, don't know if the manuals for different states vary that much. The weird one was that you have to stay 500 feet away from a firetruck.
