GAH!! self-contradiction!!!So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.
Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O -

Whoa, you seriously dropped in my respect register. First, saying that COBOL said something intelligent? That lowers you to his level, although it's not like you do that often. But demanding respect from Arch because you're older? Dude... He doesn't owe you shit.Originally posted by evilbutterflythat's the most intelligent thing i've heard u say so far, and about the only thing that wasnt a complete lie.Originally posted by COBOLArch you are an annoying dumbass
oh, and Arch, u forgot "an." and for the record, i am your elder, so i do deserve some respect from u. however, i'd be quite surprised if u would "lower" urself to the level of being nice and friendly for a change. i never did anything to u (that i can remember), so i dont see why u find me to be an "annoying little twit."
I don't want you to think that I dislike you as much as Arch, for that's not true. I didn't like you when I first saw your posts (I don't remember who came to the forums regularly first) because of your atrocious grammar, and I had no respect for you for that. You have been accepted much more here, so I can look past the grammar (which says a lot), but until you start typing the full word "you", I'm not going to give you much credit. On top of that, I haven't found too many of your posts to be worth reading.
So, yeah, that's my impression of you. I realize you probably couldn't care less, as I don't command much power around here, but whatever.
EDIT: Oh yeah, IT'S "Y'ALL", NOT "YA'LL"! DO YOU PEOPLE NEVER THINK ABOUT CONTRACTIONS?!?!

I changed my mind.
I hate you and hope you die of testicular cancer.

Testicular cancer is a serious problem... Or something. Anyways. Question. Why is everyone so concerned about being "popular" in a forum. So you're not accepted. Whoo. Every member here is an island and can remain so. You don't need forum-friends (or fiends) to justify yourself. No worries, be happy, have a muffin.

i just agreed with COBOL because he was against Arch. lesser of two evils is still evil, but yeah. and i've seen ya'll and y'all, because it could be ya + all or you + all and you drop the ou. idunno, doesnt really matter, just as long as u know what i mean. thats partly why i dont bother typing stuff out.
i'm just so used to not having to type stuff out that i dont. I mean, I could easily change and capitolize and not abbreviate and do my best to spell things correctly, but I don't find it to be necessary (sp?). Some of you may not have even noticed that I suddenly started typing correctly, which would prove that it really is frivolous to think badly of people for their lack of proper capitolization. I think badly when people do really stupid stuff as far as grammar goes. Take a look at one of the Pump It Up posts on these forums. One is nothing but newbies with posts in the teens (or less) with HORRIBLE grammar. Seriously, when I see things like that I cringe, and it makes me wonder how some of you can think so poorly of people just because they are too lazy to hit shift before every sentence.
My online persona is a reflection of myself. In real life, I'm a lazy bastard who doesn't bother speaking correctly all the time. Online, I show this by being too lazy to capitolize or spell words out. I also trail of when I talk. Thus, I use the triple dots at the end of my sentences way more than I should. I also emphasize words and things online using all caps, bold, and italics (each has its purpose). I do this to try and emulate my vocal inflections so readers can better "hear" how I'm saying things. Body language and tone are a huge part of communication, so I reserve caps for times when things need BIG emphasis, and I use action stars a lot to show what I'm doing as I talk.
Honestly, I don't see what the big deal with grammar is. My rule is: as long as I know what you're saying without having to think twice about the words, you're okay. Sometimes my overuse of commas can make me hard to understand, but that's about it, and commas are how I talk in person, so I can't help but use them. I think it shows how I don't shut up or breath and, therefore, people don't have the opportunity to interject their comments.
well, that was way too much typing. i'm done nowSo I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

gah, i try. there are some words i always mess up. dammit, i knew i should have checked on the spelling of capitalize. i'm more of a math person than a grammar person. and i spell better than some people *cough87xcough* i just have trouble with some words. particularly things with double letters, like necessary. i can never remember if it has 2 Ss or 2 Rs or what...stupid English. why cant it just be spelled how it sounds like in Spanish!?So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
