At least you Canadians don't drag your feet about everything like our FEMA.

Thank you. I really appreciate that. It's peaking tonight so hopefully it improves from here on out.
Do you bury me when I am gone? Do you teach me while I am here? Just as soon as I belong, then it's time I disappear.

Just being on here has been a great distraction for me. It's my safe little haven on the big ol' internet. :P

Last flood we have had here where i live has been more than a hundred years ago, and i don't know how i would feel if something like that destroyed my studio, my home or whatever. I hope moving everything to the second floor will be enough and you won't lose anything of value.

I just got gas turned back on in my home, and it was deemed liveable. Me and my kitty and child are all safe. :3 The catastrophe is over but I lost my job over it. They were insensitive pricks.

But on a plus note, my life is finally normalizing for now.

Glad to hear it... although I'm extremely appalled that employers would be so crass as to spoil someone's job considering the flood and its damaging capabilities. Some people have such hard hearts, they're honestly disgusting.

But, it's great to hear that your house was deemed liveable after such a terrifying ordeal. Sounds like your life will return to its blissful pre-flood state. I'm just very happy that this flood didn't get any worse - officials do say that we dodged a bullet as flood waters did not rise to the predicted levels.

Did your boss look like this, by any chance?

On a more serious note, it sucks that you were fired for something completely out of your control. Glad everything's okay, otherwise, though.

                    Wow, that's BS.

I'm glad you're safe though and that the house is working properly still!
