Site does not work for me on IE or Chrome.

On Chrome I get the following message:

SSL connection error
Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have.
Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): SSL protocol error.

Differences to Megaupload

-Previously users had to wait 45 seconds before they could download a file. Mega removed this.
-Free users will get 50 GB of free storage space
-Total bandwidth will be limited, from 1 to 8 TB per month, for paid accounts. Free account bandwidth is not currently disclosed.

that's such an awkward article lol. he never convincingly explains at all what made the event so overwrought and embarrassing, aside from saying how overwrought and embarrassing it was over and over with some lame similes (omg that music they were playing sounded like it could have been in berlin!). and kim's a wacky character all right but nothing quoted from him in the article suggests any of the messianic revolutionary crap the author said

I watched the event live and it was a pretty funny event. Not that it was comedic or anything, but just the whole exaggerated importance thing was entirely on purpose and all of the people there who were taking it seriously pretty much got trolled irl.

As for the service itself, I hope they get their servers sorted out so we can start using it. The only embarrassing thing is having a launch and then having your product not work.

The "entropy" thing from your mouse movements and keys isn't really that advanced. The random function for java has done this already for a long time. It's just taking numbers from your keyboard and mouse and using them in coming up with a random number.

Reading up on ssh key pairs, it seems like pretty common security measures as well.

The public-private key pair is a common encryption practice. The public key is used to encrypt data, and the private key is used to decrypt data that is encrypted with that specific public key.

It's like having one key to lock your house that you give to everybody, and another key to unlock your house that only you have.
