    Re: The Fitness Thread

the "I don't masturbate to increase my testosterone levels" line of reasoning has gripped hold of way too many people, including a guy I hang out with.

it's amazing how much people believe that abstinence of something will give them some magical advantage. I don't know why this is, but I suspect it has to do with some kind of purity disposition, like the kind mentioned in this talk

    anyway, http://www.yourbrainonporn.com/book/export/html/148

levels of testosterone for men are, iirc, somewhere around 30mg - 90mg a week

assuming that most men will be around 60mg it seems pretty pointless to do so much work for what amounts to an extra 10mg, especially given that bodybuilders routinely inject 500+mg/week to experience elevated testosterone advantages. if you want elevated testosterone, inject testosterone. otherwise you're basically wasting your time.

I suspect your ability to build muscle naturally has much more to do with the way your body is arranged to deal with myostatin but that's just a hunch

Just saying, Suma Root has definitely provided an extra little edge that I needed to overcome some plateaus. Speaking from firsthand experience; you can dismiss it all you'd like, but don't dock it till you at least try it. As always, I would recommend researching first.

                                Re: The Fitness Thread

So I'm looking to restructure my diet. How I cook, when I cook, and how to prevent any kind of cheating. My goal will be to consistently hit my daily goals without needing to spend any extra money to help me attain said goals.

First thing I plan on doing is getting roughly 14 tupperware containers, enough to get me 2 full meals per day. The tupperware containers I currently have will serve as extras for snacks that I can pack for work (sandwiches, almonds, granola bars, etc.).

Second thing I plan on doing is either getting a bodybuilding backpack (one designed specifically for storing food, among other things) or a big-ass lunch box that can hold all the tupperware.

Thirdly, I plan on cooking a weeks worth of meals in advance. This would basically be every Sunday after work. I would get home around 5PM, cook until 8PM-ish. I would cook one meal of brown rice with chicken breast and another of possibly potatoes and sirloin beef. What I plan on eating that day or the next, I put in the fridge. Anything else would go in the deep freeze. This would prevent any of the food going bad from sitting in the fridge. I'd be turning most of my food into Walt Disney until I'm ready to eat it.

All of this in collaboration will keep things much more organized, and almost perfect enough for me to easily assess a plateau and what needs to be done to overcome it. Having my diet perfectly down makes everything I do in the gym much easier to track.

The reason I've decided to do this is because I'm lazy as shit. My diet has been slipping for the past few months, and my "lean" bulk that I've managed to maintain for 2 years is getting less... Lean. I've certainly lost about 4lbs of LBM, and gained about 4lbs of fat, that seems as though it's situated itself conveniently on my abdomen (4lbs is too much idc what any of you say). I may do a small cut (5-10lbs) to get myself to about 9-10% body fat. Having my new diet plan in place will make the next time I "lean bulk" much easier. This will allow me maximum time sitting on my ass throughout the week, while still hitting all my macros.
