I'm enjoying it very well, thanks. In the mean time they've released Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, and are releasing Portal 2 soon as well, which is running on the Source engine 2. I'm quite happy. People like you are the reason good companies die and Activision takes over.

EDIT: Not to mention that Half Life is one of the greatest FPS series of all time anyways.

Alright, first off no one really likes activision, we like the developers they have underneath them.

L4D1 and L4D2 basically count as 1 game, the second was just like a expansion now a new game, barely got 30 hours between the two before it got old.

I will give you portal though, the first one was great if now a little short, but probably the best puzzle game out there, just hoping they don't mess up the second which sometimes companies do ( Modern Warfare 2 x.x)

Now the almighty "half-life". Well the first half life was good, the second and all of its following episodes seemed just plain out annoying too me. All the "puzzles" were nothing more than a means to extend the time of the game in that a brain dead two year old could probably do them.

The times between the games releases are just unbelievable and the end products are not that good. Well they are not the only people with this problem (creators of alan wake), its also obvious that there are people a lot faster (Black ops in 2 years).

So basically Half life is riding the wave from the great success the first one was, and Left 4 dead is doing the same exact thing, and if Valve keeps this up, Portal 2 will just be a wave riders as well (add nothing to the fun). We all hate Activison, but Valve for some reason releases games that most people could make in about a month every 2 years and everyone thinks its great.

That's so weird! I hate Left 4 Dead and my friend plays it every night. It's like... he has a different opinion than I do, and since opinions are by and large unquantifiable, it's useless to argue specific opinions and it shouldn't happen. Argue specifics, not opinions. What didn't you like about L4D, or L4D2? While I don't personally believe L4D2 warranted a new game, I can see why they packaged it; there were substantial changes, and 4 entire brand new campaigns/characters. While it played similarly to the first game, it's like saying Rock Band 2 shouldn't have released as a separate title, but timed DLC packs.

It really just seems to me that you're railing on Valve because you personally dislike their games, which is fine. Just don't go playing your own trumpet and get mad when people tell you to knock the noise off.

In large part everything people say is opinions so if you so no more opinions we might as well close the forums down now xD.

Its not that i hate the valve games, its just that every person and reviewers are throwing grades of 10s, 9s, and 8s like these games we some kind of god. I personally don't believe a sequel should get a great review unless it adds something new and while l4d2 has done that AFTER the numerous updates they have made, originally they really had nothing. Valve takes too long to make games compared to the content that they release with it.

And not to sound contradicting but that is pretty much what rb is doing xD, when 3 comes out all 2 and 1 will be are nice little dlc expansions lol

We will have to see. I think black ops is looking good, if they can get it done in 2 years then why wait any longer?

Also the no SOH pro for snipers is pretty ****ing gay. If you get quickscoped by someone running around with a sniper than you deserve it.
Any gun in the game can beat someone quickscoping, only time I ever die by it is when I'm not looking at the sniper guy.
What is up with secondaries? I know there's no shotgun secondaries(thank ****ing god) but is it like cod4 when no akimbo option?


and to say quickly, L4D2 was terrible compared to L4D1, but still a decent game.

Anybody want to play this for PC when it comes out btw? Also as I side note I agree with pretty much everything Mal said, Ninja didn't get upset at all and I personally love Valve and think they're possibly one of the most original game programming companies out there.
