Ok, something really weird just happened.

I made a character before the server maintenance and played around a bit, now I get back online and my character is gone. Made a new one, and went to do the water beetle quest.

Killed one, jumped all the way to level 17. o_O

Did they up the exp rate or something?

EDIT: and should I put a crapload of points into DEX, or is there a specific build for the Yu Mang characters?

EDIT2: I forgot to say this, my ign is "Fin".

There's some sort of event going on this week. This is nowhere near the normal server rate lmao.

I played for a while tonight. Wow, it was fun and intense.

Are you a male or female elf? I haven't played the male, but don't put anything into dex if you're going yu ling. I think male elfs are archers so that's probably a good idea.


Also, the missing file is really weird. I'll see if I can post it.

I'm a male (although, I found that you can switch the gender regardless of if you're an archer or healer =P), and I totally saw you in town about an hour or so ago.

I've been looking for, but can't seem to find, a "Hardback Dinothere". I keep looking in Astound Range and finding nothing. =(

You can switch gender? o_O

Find out what weapon you need to yield to cast your spells. If you're a ranged attacker, you main build is dex. If you're a magic user, intelligence...attacker, strength. I have no idea why anyone would go con, but ok. Other than dumping points in your main though, you'll probably have to stick some in other sections to get armor upgrades and whatnot.

Also, I can't remember where I found that. I found it by accident. I haven't found it yet on this character because I basically skipped doing the quests for the time being. You have to do quite a few quests after unlocking the first cultivation to get more skills, and most of them aren't offensive for my character so I said screw it. I could use some more hp though. My Magic defense is so high I can't be stopped against casters, but I've gotten killed a couple times by level 80-90 enemies that use physical attacks when I wasn't careful D:

Yeah, there's a gender option when making a character. I used it to make a male human mage as opposed to a female one (ign Sumote).

Note the coordinates on the map and the area it's in. The quest says to look in Astround Ridge. =(

EDIT: Everyone in this game speaks Spanish or something close to it, wtf.

Got to level 102...it actually starts taking awhile to level after 100 haha. Only 2-3% per kill from lv 96-97 enemies...ONLY...

Am I supposed to install the game, let it update when starting, exit, then replace the files? Because I keep getting a update error when trying to start when it updates the server list :/

That's what I did, and I didn't get an error ;o

The server is up, so I don't know what could cause the error other than patching it incorrectly.

This full patch seems to be causing problems. D:

I replaced the patch files with the originals before letting it start up the first time, so I'm guessing that's wrong? Not sure, I'm trying it again replacing the originals after the normal update when starting.

Bump/doublepost because I got the private server running

Reach, I think this information should be edited into your first post, so no-one else goes through my trouble XD.

1. Download and install the game
2. Start up the game and let it update like you're going to play on normal servers, but exit out when done.
3. Replace the original files with the patch files.

For those wondering, there is an exp event right now. It's going on for a few days, and then special events will be going on for the week, including a Player Kill contest.

The game will be going back to normal after, apparently, and characters that are now gone have been backed up and will be replaced after the event.
