Translation of the Symphonia opening text as slowed down by Tokzic who bothered me while I translated it:

"The world returned to its origins after the Journey of World Regeneration two years ago. However, the animosity people once had also returned. The world was once again filled with discord. Old trifles are beginning to re-awaken."

Then the music kicks in. There are some words further down that I've begun working on, but like I said, a certain someone slowed me down so I can't continue any more today.

Nothing that we didn't know would happen. I don't see how planting a tree stops the persecution of half-elves, after all.

Now the voices are going to be a "if I feel like it" thing. The music is going to make it pretty hard to get an accurate description. I can get a super-rough translation going if I listen to it enough times.

Tales of Destiny 2 is a PS2 game.

Tales of Destiny was re-released last year as an updated PS2 game.

Save your money.

Tales of Eternia was released as Tales of Destiny 2 for the PS.

I got my TotA for $27 at EB Games last month or so, it's still being sold for $40? Haha, guess EB isn't always overpriced after all =).

I'd agree with the Tales series (based on ToS and TotA, the two I've played) as being the best RPG series of all time, personally.

FF isn't anywhere near as fun for me, personally. I got FF12 like 3 months ago and it's still sitting unfinished, whereas I finished TotA in about three days of practically nonstop playing because I just could not and did not want to stop playing it once I started. They're good games, but not nearly as fun as the Tales games IMO.

I have some gripes about it compared to ToS ("missables" are too common and sometimes ridiculous like Collector's Book, cooking EXP is accumulated way way way way way too slowly), so I'd probably say ToS is the better game, but I've had more fun by FAR playing those games than any other RPG.

What's interesting is that the most common criticism I hear against the Tales series is that they're "cliched", which amuses me because I cannot think of pretty much any RPG, and certainly not FF, that manages to avoid cliches in any meaningful way (while still managing to be interesting). I don't think cliche is necessarily a bad thing anyway, but it's kind of annoying how people continually bash the Tales games for having cliche characters/storylines/whatnot when the very games they themselves say are better not only usually suffer from cliches, but often the SAME ONES.

In all seriousness, shut it. If you don't like it, you don't have to respond. People play console games. People play anime games. Of course it looks like a cartoon, because it's a ****ing trailer.

And Squeek, this definitely looks like it'd be on either the 360 or PS3. Judging by the look of the game, I'd personally rival the look of this game with Eternal Sonata, which is one of the more beautiful 360 games I've played. Hopefully with the success of Blue Dragon, Ace Combat 6, Eternal Sonata and Lost Odyssey in Japan, then it'll be on the 360.

The preview made me shiver from the overwhelming beauty. It's more than likely going to be a good game.
