OH THAT'S HOW IT WORKS.

That one half-second scene in TP totally proves that Ocarina was before all other Zelda games.

The Master Sword is in the forest in every other game in Hyrule A.. Just sits in a forest. In Ocarina, it's in the Temple of Time. Turns out those are the same locations.

There's a door atop a staircase leading down to the sword. If you run around the door, you see that it is just a door leading nowhere. Upon striking the pedestal with the Master Sword, you open the door. But it doesn't lead nowhere. It's a door to the past in the exact same location. It's a door that leads to the Temple of Time. The pedestal for the Master Sword is in the same exact location. In the game's time, it's in the forest. In the past, it's in the Temple of Time.

If the Temple of Time's housing for the sword is in the past, then the forest locations must be the future. To the best of my knowledge, all other sword locations are in a forest in Hyrule A. Wind Waker housed the sword under the statue in memory of Link in Hyrule B.

Since we're on the subject.

Holy crap someone find the soundtrack for this game. I have to have the piano score that takes place after the third temple is over (hard to avoid spoilers here).

I HAVE TO HAVE IT. I don't even want to continue playing so I can keep hearing this song.

I felt the same way, that song was amazing. Nintendo Power promised the soundtrack on CD in the next issue, so I should have it by next month, AIM me for the link.

The full OST is not out yet. The only tracks that have been released are the ones that are on the CD that was sold at target that came with that model sword and shield. The next one to come out is the Nintendo Power OST version, which may or may not be the full soundtrack.

Yeah, all they have out are like 6 songs. It's really lame. I cannot understand why this is taking so long.

In other news, having nearly completed Twilight Princess, I put it between Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker, but closer to Ocarina of time. It's definitely on the "future" timeline.

Might as well go finish that right now.

The did make it for the gamecube if u want it prob lil bit lesser graphics but who cares?

I'm fairly sure that they are the same graphics because the Wii's aren't all that impressive. PS doesn't the GC version release on the 11th?

The gamecube version won't be nearly as good. The controls made this game far better than you could ever imagine. Without them, it would have been a solid Zelda title, but not any better than Ocarina. With them, it's totally #1.

Compare.

Attacking:

Wii: Move your wrist as if you're swinging the sword. No big motions required here; just flick your wrist.
GCN: A.

First-person weapons:

Wii: Aim them yourself. Feels like you're shooting a bow and arrow.
GCN: Joystick.

Sound:

Wii: Depth of sound from the Wii-mote to the TV (hear the arrow flip and the bow string snap). Sound effects come from the remote. A lot.
GCN: Normal sound from TV.

In case you didn't know, the E3 demo of the game is completely different from the final product. You don't fire the bow like a bow. Just point the remote at the screen is all. You don't attack with "A". You don't "finish" enemies with a flick of your wrist. Spin attacks and item storage are all different. EVERYTHING changed from the demo at E3. ALL for the better. Believe me, you're going to want the Wii version. I know a few people holding out for the GCN version EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE / WANT A WII! This is a MISTAKE. HEY! LISTEN!

I wasn't a big fan of OoT. I enjoyed the 2D top down Zelda games much more. Do you think I would enjoy Twilight Princess? I'm getting my first paycheck soon and I need to know if I should get a Wii now or later when SSBB comes out.
