Look, I know I'm pretty dumb compared to Moogy about games, but I know what I'm talking about.

When you beat the game in MK3, you are given like 10 icons to choose from with some text like "CHOOSE YOUR DESTINY". They're bonus games. One of them shows all the finishers in the game. One of them starts a shooter game.

Allow me to beat MK3 and screenshot this so I can show you.

Ok, I can't believe you made me do this...but fortunately for me, and unfortunately 4 u, I have no life.

At the title screen enter the following code:
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, A,B,A
That cheat code will give you "Kool Stuff"

Once there, it will give you access to the mini-shooter we've been talking about:

Turn the mini-game on, press the Start button then WHAM:

And for the icing on the cake, I'll even give you the codes for Scott's Stuff and Kooler Stuff:
Scott's Stuff: X, B, A, Y, Up, Left, Down, Right, Down
Kooler Stuff: Select, A, B, Right, Left, Down, Down, Up, Up

Apparently I was thinking of MKII, but it's the same minigame. At the end of MKII, you are given about 10 icons to choose from to see special crap. One of them is that minigame. I'm gonna see if I can get a screenshot of it.

In any event, that's not a 2D shooter. Space Invaders and similar games are totally different from what we're talking about.

Edit: No, I was right. Definitely not MK 1 or 2.

Edit 2: NOW I remember. It's ULTIMATE Mortal Kombat 3. Go get that one.

wisely." This is the message when you beat the game or finsih a 8 player
tournament. Then it shows you these 12 icons and you can only pick some of
the symbols, it depends on how you beat the game.

6) L. Bolt - Fatality Demostration #1: shows 1 fatal for the old characters.
7) Goro - Fatality Demostration #2: shows 1 fatal for the old characters.
8) Raiden - Fatality Demostration #3: shows 1 fatal for the new characters.
9) Shao Kahn - Noob/Ermac Endurance: What it says

10) Skull - Classic Sub-Zero/Noob Endurance: What it says

No.

2D-Shooters are basically You = plane / ship / whatever and enemy = thousands of ships / planes / whatever.

The mission is to hold down the fire button and eradicate all of them. A true 2D shooter will have like 19283098324 bullets on the screen at all times with yours and enemy bullets flying every which way. Dodging and killing is something that a non-gamer would find impressive and "impossible".

Look up some of the games mentioned here by Moogy, Mal, and myself.

MrESqueek i figured we were talking about different things...at any rate i don't c y u don't consider Space Invaders or Galaga 2D shooters. Those games were the ORIGINAL 2D shooters(they sure as hell aren't 3D). They fathered games like Raiden and Act Raiser! Look at Space Invaders/Galaga then look at Raiden Trad and tell me u don't notice the similarity (-_-). Your ship at the bottom of the screen shooting up at enemies coming down the screen at you...same concept.
