Seems fun af tho, might have to get my own Switch finally

1) no all I ever see when I talked to her was a door so I don't think she's real

2) fair observation; archers are finally good for once in fire emblem, and deadeye is not quite even what makes them so good in this game, but it is a nice bonus

3) yeah

4) higher difficulties seem very promising, but yes, on the lower difficulties, stride + warp + dance + movement boost items + march band is more mobility that any FE can have aside from buying infinite boots in fe6.
Just isn't as good as you'd think it is on maddening, at least, that is what my prediction is.

I'm glad archers finally have a niche other than shitty budget mages that get extra cucked by armor units, that's nice to finally see
Some of the mechanics in this game seem very questionable to me tho. Like you can just dismount your cavalry to avoid bad weapon matchups AND take advantage of terrain (yeah u lose like, 2 stats) but then next turn you can remount with no penalty and take your action as normal? And Canto is back so you have mobility after striking? From my casual 2 hours of observation this was very much not an okay interaction, mounted units in general but especially mobility-boosted flyers seemed functionally immortal. just like ride in from 7 spaces away, shoot your bow that has fucking like 5 range, then still have enough in the tank to gallop the fuck back behind your tank line? wat



Granted I didn't see very far into the Rough Assfucking difficulty they just released (I did see that basically all enemy archers had poison arrow lmao) so maybe there's some shit deeper in there that balances out how absurdly mobile your army can be.

Dont get me wrong not complaining, just marveling at how crazy this game is compared to classic FE
Still gonna play the game for sure tho :P

this may not have been apparent right away but deadeye loses accuracy the further away an enemy is, I've had ashe be as low at 5% chance to hit before

the mounting/dismounting this isn't super useful for horses I've found, but that might just be me being bad
god-tier for flying units, without a doubt

you have to play well to take advantage of dismounting/mounting again, I think

hard difficulty doesn't seem to necessitate any of those crazy mechanics, seems I 've been missing out?
idk I prefer disgaea for coming up with crazy builds and shit, I've just been really enjoying the story and social mechanics

here's an even more mindblowing fact: manuela is voiced by the same voice actor who voiced ash in the first pokemon movie, and a large majority of other ashs as well

That is much much weirder than Rhea being Mae's VA, and even that was weird for me

I have terrible timing and so my NG+ started not that long before Maddening came out. I am basically just trying to get this Black Eagles/Snow route over with.

My impression so far is the Eagles are pretty nuts. Blue Lions kiddos seemed very wholesome, comparatively. Byleth ended up with Seteth mostly because I am unsure about them marrying a student, though I did not really like that S support, so maybe I will reconsider on it. Well, and because Gatekeeper is not a choice.

I am very anti Lorenz but will see if that changes post GD. He and Catherine were in fierce competition for most obnoxious but her support with Ashe was actually decent.

I don't think this is an issue

since after time skip, byleth effectively becomes an equal, especially when you consider students have advanced lessons they can teach byleth if their rank in a particular skill is higher. also, assuming byleth was born around the time of the great fire, byleth would only be a few years the elder of most students

It would still be considered improper for a professor to marry one of their students, even if the student is a few years older than they are.

whether or not you consider Byleth to still be a professor or not after the Empire's Declaration of War is a matter of perspective.

Yeah it's not even my opinion, but it's a fairly large, understandable opinion imo.

I dont really think of byleth as a professor after the time skip
