Re: TWG 187: Senpai [Game Thread]
Okay XelNya I feel as good about this as I feel about lynching anybody else that isn't Roundbox

Re: TWG 187: Senpai [Game Thread]
So now the only person voting is me with 14 minutes left in the phase. Why is this happening? I can support going over to Haku for that wolf fruit vendor thing, and FFA's read of him, and the fact that I feel like he established himself as town early while all kinds of stuff was flying all over, and then has just sort of simmered down. I can support going to Xel because lynching to get powers back is suspicious and yeah now that I see Roundbox's post spelling it out clearly, the power suite does seem arguably wolfy.Leave a comment:

Re: TWG 187: Senpai [Game Thread]
Something tells me what's gonna happen is this:I personally don't think it's Xel at this time; I generally trust the early character claim and power layout, which is why I sent him the PM and a message today.
Between the other two, well, I've had something bothering me about Hakulyte, which I addressed last dayphase, albeit briefly.
I want to clarify my rationale for not character claiming in thread and just to XelNya in today's message:
This post sketched me out earlier as the bolded struck me as a namekill attempt, which I've been terrified of since the beginning!
Violet Evergarden centers around a former soldier reintegrating into civilian life through ghost writing letters for those that need help or are illiterate in order to better understand human emotion; it fits with the message sending mechanic.
(I should say now, the terminology of my role doesn't specifically refer to "messages" although it functionally works that way, but it seemed safer with the above suspicion to let that thought continue)
It seemed safer to keep it somewhat concealed as I've revealed all else involved. I don't necessarily think Haku isn't town for it though; Haku has suspected me numerous times throughout the game, after all.
Killing abilities aren't explicitly anti-town though; Wayward used his to kill Dafty in the night and helped town out immensely as they would have otherwise been green-checked through that point.
we lynch shadow today
if he flips green I get lynched tomorrow
if he flips wolf
I get lynched tomorrow
you can't really kill me at night anymore before the game is over I think, so you're stuck with me unless you lynch me / ita me during the day
but I think I played town almost as well as I could haveLeave a comment:

these look really wolfy
suggesting that there's another KP in the game
votes can be trusted, I thinkLeave a comment:

Re: TWG 187: Senpai [Game Thread]
Also I guess for whatever this is worth, Xel technically never confirmed this line from Dafty's PM
only the one detailing the Miku/Kyi interaction (as seen in Daikyi's flip). You are partners with [Redacted]
I felt like it would be easily explainable, but what if it wasn't, and it was instead implicating?Leave a comment:

Re: TWG 187: Senpai [Game Thread]
like, lmao, look at the item utility for wolves
1. Clarity Shard. Tells who visted a person in the night. (doctor/seer finding)
2. Faerie Tear. Nope. (protect a wolf from getting shot at night)
3. Magnet Stone. Draws an item to me. (chaos)
4. Astral Charm. Refreshes the others. (yeah, refreshes the others on predicting the lynch)Leave a comment:

I don't intend to disregard or diminish your feelings, but for whatever it's worth I was being complimentary of your potential cunning in pulling off an elaborate move, not suggesting you'd done anything bad or wrong. I'm sorry.I was hurt feelings and butt ranged for sure, but I'm over it or trying to be. Realistically I don't think it'll be confirmed until endgame anyway now that the host has swapped, so there's not much else I can do regarding the subject as there's no other explanation. It wasn't something done maliciously or intentionally, and sorry for that post, also.Leave a comment:

Re: TWG 187: Senpai [Game Thread]
It appears to be 'jack of all trades' meaning has a bunch of one-off or item-based powers instead of a major game-long power.Leave a comment:

Re: TWG 187: Senpai [Game Thread]
First off, fine, i'll claim the lady.
I picked Kaho Reinol from Momodora, which is why I thought shadow would actually have a strong chance to guess.
The items are, in order to what I'd have answered from the the goldstinger thing:
1. Clarity Shard. Tells who visted a person in the night.
2. Faerie Tear. Nope.
3. Magnet Stone. Draws an item to me.
4. Astral Charm. Refreshes the others.
I hinted at least two of these very early on in that post where I was trying to be forth coming about some mechanics.
Which is why I take issue with your read, it's framed in a way that relies on me not having been forthcoming early on in the game.
The post in question:
Items in the game? Magnet Stone.
Actions are targeted? Clarity Shard.
I super softed two items very early game. The short hand is I've been slowly leaking what I do since early game dude. Sunfan dropping that bomb just sped it up a bit.
I offered goldstinger the extra info because I genuinely made a blunder that yeah to be honest, I should have been on the chopping block for when it happened.
JOAT = Jack of All Trades
a power with lots of one-shot mini powers
it's not a master of a particular power, just being able to be flexibleLeave a comment:

Item reset hinging on a lynch is mad sus and anti-town sounding, I just can't shake the feelingLeave a comment:
