2) DBP killing the next night would be from a smaller pool of players, and therefore more likely to hit a wolf, especially if opkiller dies as the lynch.

Curious to know why dbp didnt shoot however

wv makes the kill on gradiant after he claims, you block dbp, you guys hit parity after actions resolve

for future reference, I want to know if this is a good idea

given the context of the phase, we had a 50% chance of lynching a wolf

a claim WITH a counterclaim gives a 50% chance of lynching a wolf

a claim WITHOUT a counterclaim gives a 66% chance of lynching a wolf

if you're looking solely at the numbers, wolves are incentivized to counterclaim, its just so hard to win a cc battle as a wolf in forum, especially if the battle begins at the start of the phase.

yeah, early is better since claiming later can be framed as being "convenient" or something along those lines

no, what I mean is if both roles claim with say 40 hours left in the phase, the human wins the battle most of the time

the less time there is for town and the counterclaimers to talk/argue then the more likely it is for a wolf to win that cc battle ime.
