cult converting nawk is slightly unexpected but understandable if charu was deadset on killing mafia
i don't see anything saying what happens when cult is the only non-town left, though, so i've been a bit confused about them

I don't think this is the case? I don't know if the town wins if there's still a cultist alive. Obviously this affects my vote so I'll hold off on that until I get an answer.

Just so everyone involved is clear on this, I need Mashi to be the one in the final 2 with me if I want to joint-win. If it's lurker, I get the solo win since he would be at 0 votes necessary to insta. if it's freakysnots the town gets the solo win because he is loved (not 100% sure on this but it'd make sense). If Mashi gets nightkilled I'll still side with the town anyway though.

You can't joint win nighthawk you need to have 1 more than majority, 1-1 isn't a cultist town joint win go read ur win condition
