Okay we have an hour left please don't let this phase go no lynch also don't let Manti slide. Notice how he called me wolfy but didn't explain why? He just said "if you're human you should know." That's such a cheap trick to defer momentum away from you (call your assailant a wolf but don't really bother to give an explanation when it seems like you're going to die.

He throws caution to the wind, acts completely non-plussed, and again throws a vote on a total non-target that has no hope of being lynched. A strategic human selects a wolfy target that has a chance of dying and that other people are suspicious of. Only a wolf throws their vote away onto a non-target and then leaves.

Sorry guys I didn't make it through the thread, I just got to the end of day 1.

The only people I really like this game so far are Me/YIMA/Jarrod.

The people I don't like are Charles/Lurker/Swirl.


ILU got really defensive day 1 multiple times when being pressured, but he was never really voted. (note to self, look who was applying pressure)



Lurker has been in and out of the thread, but has left no memorable impression, and the entire day phase he stuck with Charu.



Near the end he tried to rantionalize charu's weird nonsense that he originally didn't like and "evolve" his read over to xiz. Frankly this whole post (below) feels faked.



Charles has been Quiet, but analytical, and this game feels a lot like how he played in poker TWG
/Meta read.

Idk I kind of agree with these observations minus yoman, my fault for being not as engaged this phase but I was busy. We have an hour and I don't wanna lynch iluswirl as others suggested and I have a feeling manti could be human here

A lot of what he ended with seemed calculated, but I think if you're wrong you're going to have a lot of suspicion on you

TBH, I can see this being a case of wolves getting rid of the biggest threat by taking advantage of his inactivity. But I'm sincerely hoping that isn't the case, and if Manti's innocent, we'll talk about it tomorrow.

To be honest, I think I'll have a better idea who I want to go after tomorrow if I see Manti's flip.

If Manti flips green, I think I know for sure where my vote is going to go tomorrow.

If he's actually a wolf, well, I'm going to have to rethink some stuff next day phase, but I still have an idea of who.

Regarding the wolves intentionally playing off of the inactivity, I was thinking last night about dividing everybody into "active day2" and "passive day2" groups. It's pretty unlikely that the wolves would pool themselves into being all active and all passive, so splitting them up might make it easier to pick a potential lynch target from each group. However, I realized that you'd have just as much luck with that method as randomly splitting up everybody into two groups so I decided not to go that route, plus now everybody seems to be pretty active so it's no longer a concern.

I'm thinking that I can move Charles up to my list now. Though I don't agree with every point of his (ie Charu's sporadic posts look like intentional "look at how not suspicious and comfortable I am" statements to me while Charles thinks they make him seem human, and iluswirl's sort of passive defense of himself on day1 made me think of him as human, like a sort of "i'm a human on day1 so if i die at least there's 8 more in reserve, no sense going hard and incriminating myself even more" deal, whereas Charles thought it was suspicious, which I can understand...it was a very neutral defense on swirl's part), it's sound reasoning and not parroting common sentiment.

Charu I'm still going to keep in the pile for the time being. While I agree that jrodd's apology for the Xiz vote was kinda fishy, his case against YMIA only really calls attention to his neutrality, which is characteristic of other players as well (iluswirl and myself, who he both pegged as human), so I dunno. Compared to Charles' big post Charu's was mostly fluff, even if it provided textual evidence (though that's pretty role neutral I guess).

DaBackpack I'm keeping human, especially considering his suspicions of me. Looking at my play objectively, I'm surprised that he's the first person to make a serious case against me. I haven't posted much, and when I do there's little that's original or worthwhile. I've also been actively avoiding conflict as well. In my defense, I've mostly been grasping for straws aside from the Xiz stuff and didn't want to start posting theories and possibilities that I'd debunk on my own twenty minutes later and make myself look bad (see the first paragraph in this post as an example). Day1 I could get away with this due to the larger number of players, but now that the roster is thinning the focus narrows and I have to be more proactive. The tryhard angle I am consciously going for though...I'm trying to treat this game like an English paper as much as a psychological mind-game.

YMIA should change his username to because he's the epitome of that group. He's a wildcard, and his most recent posts have made me even more undecided on his status. Like I said before, I don't think that I'm going to vote for him today unless it's the only alternative to a no lynch or something totally incriminating happens between now and the day's end. Also, in response to V's questioning of why I'm taking this stance, it is partially true that I'm "being scared to vote at all." I don't want to put a halfhearted vote on him, leave the thread, and come back to see him lynched before I have an opportunity to take all the new info posted in the meantime into account. People are withholding their reads on him, and I'm pretty certain it's at least partially because the potential for him being a mason is still pretty high. There's no way that gradiant would post "confirmed" and expect anybody to take it as "confirmed that i saw your post" when yoshl specifically used the word confirm in his question of "can you confirm YMIA's status?" That's why I'm not entirely comfortable voting or vouching for him just yet.

In the end, I'm going to have to settle on voting manti. I get that there's a shitload to analyze here and that real life can get in the way, especially with the Canada Day/July 4th one-two combo, but I can't get V's point about slowing the momentum out of my head. One of the TGB games I played had Mike French only posting once or twice a phase, saying that he was busy with real life stuff, only to turn out to be a wolf that was intentionally staying quiet. Though I highly doubt that Manti would or is doing it to that extent, the potential for him to either play by or play up that angle is what makes him the most compared to everybody else in my books. It's a weak lead, but it's also the strongest out of any I've got.

I'm pretty firm, for me, lynching lurker here will give me no data, regardless of if he's a wolf or not.

I think there's more info to gain upon Manti's flip however!
