So I guess what this game sort of facilitates is two groups of three people trying not to associate too much. Which leaves the other roughly half of the game in an odd state as there is on a broader level much less random motion to get things churning. I think this might be why we haven't currently seen small moves turn into blow-ups and arguments yet (other than the strategy arguments which are null). In this environment I imagine it is more likely that humans are the ones making weak votes and masons and wolves are playing pretty passively as both of those groups sense telling their hands by making any actions. I think to some extent if not consciously recognized both groups of three have in their presence of mind the other group of three who might be watching and might respond in a way that forces a reveal. I'm assuming here that gradiant is the only actual revealed mason, but in this early game the thought still holds water either way.

I'm going to move off charu and switch to Charles Claythorn because that passivity is just the sort of quality this set-up makes me think is wolfy. There are other people who fit this criteria but ATM I like the idea of killing him best.

This isn't me being passive, this is me being inactive (which is bad, but shhh)! Though, I'm curious to know why you singled me out in particular as best to lynch over others, considering I've only made two posts, if I remember correctly, and they were about confirming Role PM receival.

Disagree with some of your theorising too; I think the general playstyle (i.e. passivity, in this case) of a person is more attributed to a Player's own characteristics than those of his/her Role.


That aside, I would have agreed with the sentiment that Masons shouldn't have claimed, as it would be more useful to have confirmed Humans later in the game than earlier (they wouldn't even have needed a secret code since they could just post their chatlogs with each other or whatever, since I doubt Wolves would have gone through the trouble of faking any).

Thus, I find Manti and Xiz to be rather suspect. If Manti is a Wolf, having three Masons out in the open would be an excellent justification for his being alive in the endgame. Likewise, Xiz is an adept Player and I would think he realised the benefits of Masons claiming later than sooner.

Coupled with posts like this one makes me uneasy. Could be confirmation bias, but it's Day 1, so eh. Manti did vote for Xiz and has been on his case as a point against Partnership, but Manti did bus quite vigorously last game. I don't particularly like his reasoning for his vote change off of Xiz either. So much to consider!!!
